Daughter of Helmet out of a dam who won three sprints and was placed in a Group Three contest. Looks a player with that pedigree and you would expect positive signals from the market if she was expected to shine here.
1,500 gns foal out of an unraced half-sister to 1m4f winner Wadnaan. Grandam a 1m½f-1m2f winning (inc. Listed) half-sister to the very smart GB/US 5f-1m1f winner Needwood Blade. Not knocked about on her Ripon debut and has been off two months since. Looks a likely improver but stable have been quiet lately.

May foal and related to speedy types such as Ballesteros and Seve who sported the same colours early in their careers. Has a good draw and looks the most likely one of the two from this yard. One to note in the market for sure.

€10,000 purchase by Camacho and related to a couple of winners at 1m-1m5f. Looks the type to need further than this and the market will indicate if connections think otherwise.

£45,000 Havana Gold filly whose speedy dam is a half-sister to Group 3 winner Masta Plasta. Unable to match a Haggas hotpot here on debut but still finished clear of the third. Looked in need of the run that day and the yard are in much better form now, particularly with this age group.

Cheap purchase with a speedy pedigree. Off the track since her debut two months ago. Attracted support that day and has a nice draw if breaking better from the stalls.

€58,000 yearling. Half-sister to four winners from 6f-1m2f, including two juveniles winners over 6f/7f. Only beat one home on debut when looking green and when conditions were much softer.

Big Bad Bob filly makes her debut here, out of dam placed in listed company in Italy. Not an obvious candidate based on her debut when finishing last of 12.

Forecasts

Gold Stone (10/11), Dandy's Beano (10/3), Cat Ballou (4/1), La Belle Mayson (5/1), Call Dawn (11/1), Bee Ina Bonnet (12/1), Debawtry (14/1), Sabellum (16/1), Siena Flyer (50/1)

Verdict

Kevin Ryan holds the key to this with Dandy's Beano and GOLD STONE. The former is booked to run here on Wednesday so we take GOLD STONE to build on the potential shown on her debut here and with the yard going so well. Cat Ballou and Bee Ina Bonnet are interesting newcomers and the Fahey pair Sabellum and La Belle Mayson are worth noting in the market.
  1. Gold Stone
  2. Dandy's Beano
  3. Cat Ballou
