Hasn't quite been able to back that up though since off higher marks but drops back below his last winning mark having shown a little more spark last time out and is now returned to the scene of his last win.

All of his four wins have been well advertised in form terms and he's expected to make a bold bid here as he goes for the five-timer.

Mark Johnston holds a strong record in this race winning it three times in the past four years although the last two winners of his and the last three overall have all been three-year-olds. His one representative this time around Star Of Lombardy hasn’t shown much of late and it may well be worth looking elsewhere for the likely winner. Both the three-year-olds REGAL MIRAGE and Maori Bob are of interest with the former looking to have every chance of completing a five-time with the latter sure to appreciate the return to this distance. Peterhouse usually runs well here and needs close inspection with Alphabetical Order another to watch in the market returned to the scene of his last win.
