Had his first run for this yard at Newcastle recently (did too much early on) and needs to settle better this time around. More than likely needed the run there and he's capable of winning in handicaps although all of his wins have come on the AW.
Ran up a handicap hat-trick last year in March/April the last win coming off a mark of 76 over C&D (travelled strongly). Hasn't quite been able to back that up though since off higher marks but drops back below his last winning mark having shown a little more spark last time out and is now returned to the scene of his last win.
Twice a winner at this course but over shorter trips than he plys his trade over today those wins remain his only victories. He's looked capable of winning something like this on a few occasions this year but hasn't as yet fulfilled that promise off a falling mark although he will appreciate a return to this trip after failing to stay last time out over further.
The only filly in the field she's already been successful on three occasions this year although like many from the yard she has been kept very busy. Often goes from the front but has struggled a little in her last three runs since winning at Epsom over 1m4f off a mark of 71.
In cracking form of late reeling off four consecutive wins for a yard that are going well he now resides off a career high mark having won off 4lb lower last time out over this trip at Pontefract. All of his four wins have been well advertised in form terms and he's expected to make a bold bid here as he goes for the five-timer.
His only win so far came in a fairly ordinary 0-65 handicap at Lingfield on the AW over 2f less than today. Looks to have made some progress since though after a break back on turf with there being some further promise in all his last three runs although he didn't stay last time out and needs to settle a little better in his races.

Mark Johnston holds a strong record in this race winning it three times in the past four years although the last two winners of his and the last three overall have all been three-year-olds. His one representative this time around Star Of Lombardy hasn’t shown much of late and it may well be worth looking elsewhere for the likely winner. Both the three-year-olds REGAL MIRAGE and Maori Bob are of interest with the former looking to have every chance of completing a five-time with the latter sure to appreciate the return to this distance. Peterhouse usually runs well here and needs close inspection with Alphabetical Order another to watch in the market returned to the scene of his last win.
