13/2
Shaping like he's capable of scoring off this reduced mark and gets the services of a useful 7lb claimer here. Should go well for a yard with an excellent strike-rate around here after placing on his last two starts.

Horse silk
Cougar Kid12
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-10| J: Miss Brodie Hampson(5)| T: J G M O'Shea| OR:  98
20/1
Struggling off his revised mark since a Catterick win earlier in the season and well beaten at this course earlier in the month. Likely to struggle again.
3
Horse silk
Pretty Reckless117
Age: 4|  Weight: 11-10| J: Bridget Andrews(3)| T: D Skelton| OR:  100
14/1
Yet to place in six starts under Rules but minor signs of progress on return for this yard at Southwell last time. Trainer in fine form so can't be dismissed, but Keepin Time would appear to be the yard's first string.
4
Horse silk
Black Banjot63
Age: 8|  Weight: 11-8| J: Brendan Powell| T: Miss C Dyson| OR:  96| D
40/1
Well beaten on all five starts under Rules. Starts out for a new yard now and hard to fancy unless there's significant market support.
5
Horse silk
Grey Stormt15
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-7| J: Craig Nichol| T: R Dobbin| OR:  95
33/1
Point-to-point winner who failed to finish his first three starts under Rules. Well beaten on two subsequent starts this year and likely to struggle again.

Keepin Time224
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-6| J: Harry Skelton| T: D Skelton| OR:  94
10/1
Tailed off on all four starts to date but interesting that stable-jockey picks her over Pretty Reckless and improvement expected on return here for a yard in excellent form.
7
Horse silk
Greenworldsolutiont110
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-4| J: Sean Quinlan| T: J Candlish| OR:  92
11/1
Shown nothing in four starts prior to this campaign but has shaped like he may have a win in at some stage on a couple of runs this year. Seemingly enjoy being held up and may do better in a first-time tongue-tie.

Racing Spirit54
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-4| J: Lee Edwards| T: Dave Roberts| OR:  92
20/1
14 race maiden, but a couple of fairly recent placed efforts on his CV, although with the suspicion that a longer trip suits best. Can't be totally ignored in an open race, but up 2lb in the weights which won't help matters.
9
Horse silk
Dotties Dilemap,t20
Age: 9|  Weight: 11-4| J: S Bowen| T: P & M Bowen| OR:  92
8/1
Promising start to his career back in 2012 but not won since. Tailed off after over two years off the course last time out and this likely to reveal more. Trainer does well here so can't be discounted.
10
Horse silk
Anton Dolin12
Age: 9|  Weight: 11-3| J: Lewis Stones(7)| T: M Mullineaux| OR:  91| D
8/1
Just one win since 2013, coming after a short break when winning at Ludlow in April. Not disgraced since but others have more attractive profiles.
11
Horse silk
Bennachiet192
Age: 8|  Weight: 11-2| J: Alan Johns| T: Tim Vaughan| OR:  90| D
22/1
Back-to-back winner in May 2015 but not won since. Tailed off or failed to finish on all recent starts and hard to fancy here.

On Alberts Headp,t29
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-0| J: N D Fehily| T: N P Mulholland| OR:  88| BF| D
15/8
Winner on debut for previous yard but couldn't get his head back in front on any of his last 11 starts. Has run well at times and yard capable of improving these sorts. Market worth watching on stable debut.

Horse silk
Mileva Rollerp23
Age: 5|  Weight: 10-12| J: R P McLernon| T: J & A O'Neill| OR:  86
12/1
Runner-up in a Stratford bumper on debut but not confirmed that promise subsequently. Shaped like there may be better to come on return this year but not backed that up her latest two efforts and may struggle again here.
15
Horse silk
Dwynant29
Age: 4|  Weight: 10-10| J: Alain Cawley| T: D Loughnane| OR:  86| D
66/1
Moderate on the Flat and tailed off on all three hurdles starts. Still early days but plenty to prove at present.

Primo Rossip,t20
Age: 8|  Weight: 10-1| J: B S Hughes| T: T R Gretton| OR:  75
20/1
Winner from out of the handicap at Market Rasen last year but jumping has let him down several times since. Unseated the rider last time at Worcester and while the jockey booking looks a positive move, he's hard to fancy switched back to hurdles.

Forecasts

On Alberts Head (15/8), Prince Khurram (13/2), Anton Dolin (8/1), Dotties Dilema (8/1), Keepin Time (10/1), Be Seeing You (10/1), Greenworldsolution (11/1), Mileva Roller (12/1), Pretty Reckless (14/1), Primo Rossi (20/1), Racing Spirit (20/1), Cougar Kid (20/1), Bennachie (22/1), Grey Storm (33/1), Black Banjo (40/1), Dwynant (66/1)

Verdict

Prince Khurram represents connections that do well at this course and having placed on his last two starts, he looks like a live each-way contender. On Alberts Head will no doubt prove popular on stable debut for the Mulholland yard but it may be worth taking a chance on KEEPIN TIME. While she has shown very little to date, the fact Harry Skelton picks her over the filly Pretty Reckless is likely significant and with the yard in excellent form in recent weeks, she may prove a different proposition this year.
  1. Keepin Time
  2. On Alberts Head
  3. Prince Khurram
