A consistent performer he does have trouble winning though often having to come from well of the pace under very patient tactics. Has run with credit of late but usually leaves you with a feeling of what might have been.

Makes his handicap debut here after three rather modest efforts in maidens the last one over 2f further than today. May well do better now he goes handicapping but still best watched here.

Had looked as though she was on her way back on her penultimate run at Lingfield and built on that run last time out when taking the runner-up slot at Ffos Las over this trip off 2lb lower. If she repeats her last two runs she is certainly one to include in the equation here.

The first-time blinkers and a switch onto turf appeared to be the catalysts to a return to form when at Bath in May. He's since run well in two other handicaps at the track off this mark although he faces a different test here on ground a lot softer than those last three good efforts.

Form in AW maidens and a handicap so far has been of the modest variety and he ran poorly last time beating only one home off an opening mark of 58. Now switched to turf for the first time he has a second go in handicap company but remains one to watch rather than back.

Comes here off a fair layoff with none of his four starts in handicaps having a very exciting feel about them. This trip has looked to test him in the past and others make more appeal here.

Still a maiden but she really hasn't had that many attempts at breaking her duck and remains lightly raced. Looked as though she still had some ability when looking in need of the race at Yarmouth last time and off a mark of 54 she looks quite well treated here if she can back that run up.

An ideal mount for a young apprentice as he showed when providing today's rider with her first win last time out at Sandown having started at 40/1. Can be slowly away but hard to write off with conditions looking to suit and off just a 2lb higher mark here.

Looked as though he had broken his maiden last time out at Beverley when first past the post but was subsequently demoted for causing interference. The hood he wore last time out has cheekpieces added this time and given his last run he should be on the shortlist here although he is off a 4lb higher mark.

A fall to a mark of 47 did the trick last time out when he was a big-priced winner over C&D. Not sure to be in the same form this time around and has never been the most consistent so doesn't look the most obvious contender to follow-up this time around.

Some of his maiden form last year was worthy of making him worth a look when he moved into handicaps but he's really failed to fire so far. Well held last time out at Beverley he can only be watched here.

The losing run continues to mount and now stands at 24 and with his last run seeing him last of eight at Beverley (slow away). Hard to recommend any involvement here at all.

Has a real Fibresand pedigree and usually to be found plying his trade at Southwell but an overall record of 1/22 isn't a convincing one and he's best left alone here.

Verdict

A race that it’s best to take care with as a betting vehicle and a token suggestion is WEARDIDITALLGORONG after her last two good runs. Druid’s Diamond is of obvious interest after his “win” last time out when he was first past the post although he has been lumbered with a 4lb rise for that run. Spirit Of The Vale would have a chance if she could transfer her AW form onto the turf and Mamnoon is respected despite the ground doubts. Navajo Storm can’t be left out of the equation looking well treated and Breakheart is always a threat in these sorts of races.
