Early season promise has been followed by a string of disappointing efforts and the way he chucked in the towel last weekend urges caution. May need to be ridden more positively than of late and this looks easier than some of his recent tests.
Much improved since the application of headgear and enjoying a good summer with a Carlisle victory and some good runs in defeat. Form of that win has been boosted since and he has every chance of following up in an uncompetitive affair.
11-race maiden who has a hit and miss profile. Hard to forgive his last run when tailed off and others look more persuasive.
Yet to threaten in three AW maidens and now switches to turf for his handicap debut. Noted making some late headway over 1m2f last time and this would represent his easiest task to date. Represents a trainer/rider combination who do well here and market support would be significant.
Almost two years since her last win and she seems well suited to stiffer tests than this. Best form has come at Hamilton or over further but she comes into this with less to prove than some.

Mambo Dancer is the dark horse coming into this on his handicap debut. He is definitely one to monitor in the market for a big stable and being aimed as low as this. Schmooze would appreciate more of a test and comes into this in good heart THORNTOUN CARE is much improved since the application of headgear. Iain Jardine's charge is a Carlisle winner and that form has worked out well enough to make him the pick here. Two defeats since have underlined he is holding his form and he has fewer question marks against him. Falcon's Fire would land this on his 2016 form but early season promise has given way to disappointment and the stable need to find a quick answer to last week's dismal effort.
