Made a winning debut over C&D on good-to-firm ground in June and beaten just 1L in a bunch finish at Wolverhampton over 5f last time out. One to note in this contest.
Ran a fair race when sixth of nine on debut over 5f at Goodwood (good) in May but disappointing when turned out relatively quickly at Lingfield (good-to-firm). Gelded since and steps up in trip here.

Shown a decent level of form so far including when a head second at Windsor (good-to-firm) over 5f in June. Disappointing when odds-on favourite at Lingfield (5f, good) last time out and returns from a break today.
Decent effort when finishing seventh of 14 at Goodwood (good) over 6f ten days ago. Making his debut on that occasion and an interesting with that experience under his belt.

Best effort came when runner-up over C&D on good-to-firm ground in June. Disappointing twice since but of interest for a yard who can boast a 21% strike-rate (14/67) here in recent years.

Led until weakening quickly when making his debut over 6f at Windsor (good-to-firm) in June. Eventually beaten 16L on that occasion and others make more appeal here.
Beaten just two horses home in two starts to date. Both of those efforts came at Windsor including over this trip last time out. Probably best watched here.

Forecasts

Lake Volta (4/6), Indian Warrior (3/1), Rivas Rob Roy (17/2), Pranceabootthetoon (10/1), Tiepolo (28/1), Alaskan Star (33/1), Following Breeze (66/1)

Verdict

Trainer Mark Johnson is 3/3 with his juveniles here this season and his LAKE VOLTA who ran a decent race when making his debut at Goodwood last week is taken to get off the mark at the second time of asking in this opening contest. The selection finished mid-division on that occasion and can get the better of Pranceabootthetoon who was a winner here on debut and ran well on his only subsequent start. Indian Warrior, beaten favourite the last twice can claim third on his first start since June.
  1. Lake Volta
  2. Pranceabootthetoon
  3. Indian Warrior
