Showed a little improvement on his second run but failed to show any further progress on his third run back on the AW. Hard to see what he's done to deserve a mark of 67 and surely needs a lower mark despite making his handicap debut here.
A long absence proved no drawback when finishing second on his handicap debut at Sandown in July off this mark. He may well have been beaten 7L there but the winner was thrown in and that run proved no disgrace.
The only other one making her handicap debut here she showed her best and so far only form at Goodwood last time over 7f. May have been slightly flattered there by the run of the race and but may well be able to show some more progress now with that run under her belt.
Her last maiden run showed that she had potential for handicaps and she's twice run well in that sphere off marks in the mid 60's. This will be her highest mark yet and she did get the run of the race last time out but her overall form entitles her to go close here.
Has had a few chances now in handicaps without really looking as though she can be competitive off this mark. Takes a drop in grade here but she raced a touch freely last time and other appeal more here.
Starting to look as though she is finding her feet in handicaps and ran her best race in this sphere last time out albeit in a 0-60. This represents a stiffer task but she travelled well enough and isn't written off despite the rise in grade.
Always looked the sort for low-grade handicaps and duly obliged on her third try in this company at Nottingham when a short-priced favourite staying on well over a mile. Handled cut in the ground there so won't mind any rain and has only been raised 5lb for that win.
His three wins have all come on the AW and back on turf last time out he was ridden far too forcefully with the result he wasn't seen to best effect. Overall though his turf form is modest and he shouldn't be able to cope with any improvers here.
All his maiden form came on the AW where he looked a long-term project and moved onto the turf for his handicap debut in first-time cheekpieces he folded tamely looking to be amiss. That run didn't inspire and he's best watched here.
Failed to show anything at all in maidens but after a break and up in trip she showed her first form in a low-grade Ffos Las handicap over 7f. She might be capable of a little better now but is still a 1lb out of the handicap.

For the grade this isn’t a bad race and there is a little bit of depth to it with a few that could still improve on what they have done so far. CAPTAIN PUGWASH had no chance last time out at Sandown against an improving winner who was thrown in at the weights and he could well go one better here. Heart Of Gold has form which entitles her to go close in this along with last time out winner Mordoree. Accomplice could well win something like this in the future although this is a rise in grade for her and Sussex Girl is worth watching in the market on the back of her Goodwood run last time out.
- Captain Pugwash
- Heart Of Gold
- Mordoree
