Returned from a lay off with a fair effort at the Curragh over this trip and not disgraced last time when fourth of eight at Naas. Thought good enought to contest Listed class last year so there could well be more to come and the yard have been in excellent form.

In the form of his life earlier in the summer and very dangerous to give an easy lead to but disappointing at the Galway Festival on Sunday and backs up quickly from that. Others preferred.

Back-to-back winner of a couple of decent handicaps last summer and worked his way down to a very nice looking mark now. Not beaten far two starts back and versatile conditions wise; should go well from an 8lb lower mark than his last winning start.

Just one win from 24 starts on turf. Jockey booking a positive move but suspicion he made need this run after a significant absence and of more interest when returned to the AW.

Majestic Missile mare, well beaten on debut when last of 12 at Killarney and likely to struggle again in a race as deep as this.

Improving steadily and gained his first win on his sixth outing last week at the Galway festival, staying on impressively in game fashion. Competes off the same mark again here and he's less exposed than most in the field. Interesting runner.

Forecasts

Not A Bad Oul Day (7/4), Perfect Soldier (3/1), An Saighdiur (5/1), Time To Reason (5/1), Reckless Lad (6/1), The Greedy Yank (100/1)

Verdict

Perfect Soldier will no doubt be popular with punters after his win at Galway last week but he had a tough race that day and it may pay to side with veteran AN SAIGHDIUR. The gelding sees blinkers return today, a piece of headgear he has worn for his last three victories and he's been the benefieciery of some lenient handicapping. Time To Reason may be able to build on his respectable effort last time and land some prize money.
