Has his first run for this yard having scored on his penultimate start in a French claimer on good ground and showed equally good form last time out in the same sphere when finishing third. Clearly capable but hard to know what to expect off a career high mark having won a handicap off 73 previously.
Given a long break after being claimed by this yard out of a Wolverhampton seller last year he scored on his first start for the stable at Hamilton over 6f in June. Rather in-and-out since then in form terms he ran poorly last time out in a lower grade and this looks tougher with the yard struggling a little at the current time.
Only a lightly-raced sort and showed promise in her four maiden runs although she looked rather wayward at both ends of the race on her penultimate start. She showed improved to get off the mark over 6f last time out but looked all out to hold on and a mark of 71 looks stiff enough on her handicap debut.
Would be of interest here if he got an easy lead as he did when showing improved form to win over 6f at Pontefract in May on quick ground. However, he looks to have rather lost his way since then going with little fluency and slowly away last time although his yard are in decent form.
His only win remains a maiden win over 5f at Sandown when with Andrew Balding but his form looks to be going backwards rather than forwards for his current stable. Ran no sort of race at all last time out and may be best watched here.
His stable remain in form but he's never really looked as though he's been able to build on his maiden win at Redcar earlier in the year over 7f. His last two runs over this trip have been no more than average and it may well be he needs more help from the handicapper.
Has been tried over various distances in maidens and handicaps and the 5f he tried on his handicap debut here looked too sharp for him. Still unexposed he showed much improved at Ayr last time out over 7f to win his first race staying on well to lead close home. Runs under a 6lb penalty here with this stiff 6f looking sure to suit.
Forecasts
Redarna (3/1), Castle Hill Cassie (7/2), Control Centre (11/2), Grinty (11/2), Tan (7/1), Suitcase 'n' Taxi (8/1), Night Law (8/1)
Not the deepest race on the card with a few looking to be struggling for form although one of those Suitcase ‘N’ Taxi would be dangerous with an easy lead if coming back to form. Castle Hill Cassie makes her handicap debut off what looks to be a stiff enough mark with Tan an interesting contender on his first GB start. REDARNA could be up to following up his win last time out over a furlong shorter under a penalty with the stiff nature of the course looking to suit him.
- Redarna
- Suitcase 'n' Taxi
- Tan
