Five race maiden for Karl Burke on the Flat, but unbeaten in two starts over hurdles for this yard and carries a double penalty as a result. No problems with track, trip or ground, but now 14lb worse off with City Dreamer for 1L from Hexham in early June.
Beaten by 1L at short odds by Costa Percy on hurdles debut at Hexham in early June, but renews rivalry on 14lb better terms. Broke a blood vessel when pulled up behind the same rival over C&D latest, and seeks to make it third time lucky today.
Unraced for Dermot Weld and picked up cheaply for €5,000 in November 2016. Has a promising Flat pedigree and should be competitive at this level over hurdles for a stable that have done well with others off-casts. Interesting to see how he fares on belated racecourse debut.
Beaten 15L by Costa Percy and City Dreamer on hurdles debut at Hexham in June, and unseated his rider at the second against both rivals over C&D on his next start. Not beaten far when third on the Flat at Carlisle latest, but has a bit too find today.
Hurdles debutant who has been in fair form on the Flat at Bath (lowly level), including when winning a Class 6 handicap (1m3f+) by 3L in early July. Worth a go over hurdles, particularly in a small field where stamina might not come into play (unproven over 2m).
Forecasts
Kereman (11/8), Costa Percy (11/4), City Dreamer (3/1), Plato's Kode (7/1), Parkwarden (28/1)
Strictly speaking, COSTA PERCY should struggle to confirm Hexham form with City Dreamer on 14lb worse terms, but with less question marks against him than some of the others, he is a tentative selection seeking to make it three from three over hurdles. Kereman is with an excellent trainer, but he's clearly had his share of problems and was picked up cheaply at Goffs in November 2016, whilst Plato's Kode has been in excellent form on the Flat and goes over hurdles for the first time today.
