Cracking effort to win on debut at Nottingham was followed up with a solid performance at York over an extended 5f last month. Leading contender on that form and capable of going very close in this company.
Improved on debut effort to win on soft ground at Ripon ( played her part in a tremendous run of form shown by runners from her stable). Sure to be more to come and proven ability to handle the conditions an added bonus. Shortlisted.
Appeals on breeding - cost £50,000 as a yearling but went up to £100,000 as a two-year-old. Stable respected with its juveniles and well worth a check in the betting.
From a local, highly yard which can have one ready but not noted as having a prolific strike-rate with first-time out winners. Bred for the trip but the betting will help regarding expectations today.
Two starts so far only modest and more required now. Qualifies for a mark after this and yard cap[able of nurturing him along; so may be better off in a nursery later in the season.
Cost €29,000 as a two-year-old, may have needed the experience on debut at Beverley and possible he has more to offer. Needs to post a better effort but worth noting for signs of support.
Finished last on debut at Beverley at the start of last month but put in a more resilient effort over C&D six days ago. Another furlong won't go amiss on that effort and is another that may need more time and step up in trip before we see the best of him.
Showed improvement in a similar race at Ayr latest and appears to be getting his act together pretty quickly. Yard has a good record at this track and would be no surprise to see this Mayson colt involved in the thick of the action.
Cost £13,000 as a yearling, pedigree looks to be nothing out of the ordinary but is related to winners over this trip, so feasible she could be forward enough to figure. Stable also represented by Graphite Girl and Bow Belles, so the betting will have to guide.
Yard respected but breeding suggest a little more yardage is required. Others make a touch more appeal.
Finished last of seven at Chester on debut and obviously has improvement to find. Likely to have benefited from the run and this more conventional track may help bring about some improvement, so at least worth a look in the betting.
Cost 40,000gns and represents a highly respected yard. But her form so far has been poor and the first-time hood needs to initiate something of a transformation. Pedigree arguably suggests a step up in trip would also be beneficial, so probably best watched this time around.
Breeding indicates 5f will be on the sharp side for Don Cantillon's filly - a theory backed up by her modest effort on debut at Ripon. Plenty to find with Bow Belles on that effort and hard to envisage her being good enough to reverse the form.

Abel Handy (5/4), Rossall (9/2), Bow Belles (6/1), Flere Imsaho (17/2), Kodi Beach (14/1), Lady Sandy (14/1), Ghost (20/1), Dangerous Lady (25/1), Rock Hill (25/1), Lady Grand (33/1), Magic Ship (40/1), Navarra Princess (66/1), Graphite Girl (66/1), Le Gros Serpant (100/1)
A few of these may be upstarts up for a bit of rebellion but BOW BELLES has already shown that she has a good attitude and can put the rabble in their places. Her experience of soft ground should be a telling factor and she may have too much in the locker for Rossall and Abel Handy, who appeal as the best of the rest that have experience. The first named may be ideally suited by the step down to five furlongs and looks the best alternative. However, pennywise punters could also consider a small stakes punt on Flere Imsaho if the market vibes are positive about Tom Dascombe's newcomer.
- Bow Belles
- Rossall
- Flere Imsaho
