Won three races earlier in his career between 5f and an extended mile and found his way back into the winners' enclosure over 7f at Salisbury on his penultimate start, justifying favouritism with ease as he came home 6L in front. Beaten just over 5L in a Lady Riders race last time, he is one for any short list here.
Won on his debut run over 6f at Haydock on soft ground almost two years ago but has failed to add to that success in 20 subsequent outings, placing five times. Ran a decent enough race here on his penultimate run but the losing run continues. Needs his best here.
Has not had a lot of racing, winning once in 12 starts, scoring over 7f at Catterick back in September of last year. Beaten less than 2L in a race over that same CD last time out, he is running for a new trainer this afternoon and has solid credentials.
Opened his account when scoring over a mile on the AW here back in April but was a beaten favourite in each of his next three races. Has not beat many rivals home in his last three starts but the slight drop in trip here will be in his favour.
Has been on the go throughout a really busy career and today will be his 127th race! Placed on 37 occasions, he has also found his way to the winning line first on 10 occasions and has been a real credit to his connections. Could sneak into the frame.
Filly won her first race on this course on a sound surface back in July of last year and has steadily been coming back to something like her best and arrives here looking for a hat-trick following back-to-back victories here over 7f on soft ground. Same conditions, same result? Why not.
She landed successive sprint races in April and May of last year but has yet to add to those two career victories in any of her subsequent outings. Sent off at long odds in her last six starts, others appear to have stronger claims.
Remains a maiden after 23 starts but has shown glimpses of ability on more than one occasion. Has appeared to far a little better on the AW and may well find a few of these a little too good.

Forecasts
Arctic Flower (15/8), Masarzain (11/4), King Of Swing (3/1), Emily Goldfinch (4/1), Almanack (10/1), Black Dave (10/1), Welsh Inlet (14/1), Rattle On (16/1), Bushwise (18/1), Kristoff (20/1)
If Almanack was in the same form as shown on his penultimate start, he would be hard to beat. He is sure to give a good account in this opening contest, while the hat-trick seeking Arctic Flower is a must for any short list in her current rich vein of form. Masarzain runs for a new stable today and is capable of a big run but the selection goes to EMILY GOLDFINCH. She made all when landing a 15-runner handicap here recently and was short-headed by Whispered Kiss at Newmarket last time out.
- Emily Goldfinch
- Arctic Flower
- Almanack
