Improved from his debut to finish runner-up at Sandown last time and booking of this jockey an obvious positive; may not need to improve to land this contest.

Zoffany colt, cost €115,000 as a yearling. Half-brother to useful winners at around a mile and dam was out of a 1m4f Group 3 winner. Yard capable of readying a debutante and yard have been amongst the winners in recent weeks. Interesting runner, particularly if there's any market support.

Farhh colt, half-brother to two useful winners at around this trip and dam was a full-sister to Dubai Millennium, a Dubai World Cup winner. Yard's debutantes have to be respected, particularly at this meeting and yard have had winners here already this week including an impressive two-year-old in these colours.

Most Improved colt, cost €32,000 as a foal and €30,000 as a yearling and a half-brother to sprint winners in Italy and Greece. Well beaten on debut at Chelmsford when never able to get competitive after a slow start and similar story last time at Epsom. Quite possibly one for handicaps.

Power colt, half-brother to Summer Isles and Nancy Astor. Dam a winning sister to sprint Group 3 winner Needwood Blade and a half sister to Grade 3 winner Islay Mist. Yard are capable of readying one for debut but they've been a little quiet in recent weeks. Champion Jockey booked and couldn't be in better form.

Lope De Vega colt, cost €70,000 as a yearling and a half-brother to three winners including Group Three winner Danak. Promising debut when still green but showed an improved attitude at Ascot last time. Needs to take another step forward but more progress not ruled out.

Epaulette gelding, cost 24,000 gns as a foal and 45,000 gns as a yearling. Some promise in soft conditions on debut but beaten favourite last time out and still looked a little green. May need a little more time to be seen at his best.

Holy Roman Emperor colt, cost €67,000 as a yearling and a half-brother to Group placed Belle De Lune and Listed placed Crooked Woman. Well beaten on debut but yard have a good record here and no surprise if he didn't better this time.

Vocalised gelding, cost €4,000 as a yearling but price went to €20,000 as a Breee-Up purchase. Related to some useful sprinters including Suntan. Yard not known for their winning debutantes generally but they did score with a 100/1 shot here earlier in the week. Market check advised.

Elusive City gelding, cost 20,000 as a yearling. Half-brother to Mean Lae (dam of Jet Setting) and dam was a Listed winner. Possibly not a good sign he's already gelded but might not mind conditions here. Trainer not in the best form and perhaps best watched.

Leroidesanimaux colt, dam a winner on the AW over a mile and half-sister to smart stayer Dominating. Yard in decent form currently and this runner performed well on debut when a staying on for third at Sandown last month. More needed but progress certainly likely.
