Yet to win a handicap on turf, though has scored over this trip and from today's mark in one at Southwell. Usually runs his race, so a 1lb drop will help him get closer again. Competitive.
At his best on a sound or fast surface on turf, although handles good to soft well enough. Still 2lb higher than his last turf success, which was in 2016, and looks in need of a favour from the handicapper.
Won three times last season, two of them over 6f and on soft ground. Handicapped out of it on his first few runs this term, he is now 3lb below his last win and with conditions going his way he could return to form.
Has run well in defeat in the forecast conditions, but all three of his turf wins have been on fast ground, which has to be a concern. 1lb lower than when last scoring on the All Weather in November but needs to be back to his best to be winning today.
Sole turf success was on good to firm and he has been doing better on the All Weather since. Sees out 7f, though this trip is fine for him, but looks weighted up to the hilt on his first start for this yard.
Stable in decent form of late and this four-year-old has been partially responsible with two good efforts at Doncaster (6f, good) and here over C&D (good to soft) from this mark. Cheekpieces seemed positive last time and if they have a similar effect then he will be on the premises.
Has run well here a couple of times in defeat, though her best form has been on faster ground. Handicapper has had her measure on her last two runs, so a 5lb drop will be welcomed and a 10lb claim here cannot be underestimated. A proven winner, but the forecast going has to be a concern.
Won't mind the ground and is back on the same mark from which he won over this trip last season. Fluffed his lines at the start last time out, but usually competitive when the assessor gives him a squeak and looks capable of a good performance.
Scored on his second start last year at Kempton (5f, AW), but has so far found a handicap win to be elusive. 2lb lower than when making the frame at Nottingham last time (6f, good to soft) and has claims if he could run to that level or better again this time.
Loves to get his toe in and the ground can't really be too soft for him, while he races over his optimum trip again today. Now 5lb below his last winning mark, support for him would be interesting, though recent efforts have not given much encouragement.
Yet to get closer than 3L to any of the winners of the 11 races that she has contested for either David Elsworth, or more recently this yard. Drops 3lb to another career-low mark now and has blinkers fitted instead of cheekpieces, but not easy to enthuse about her chance today.

At least half of this moderate field will feel that they have claims, with Caesar The Gaesar, Ticks The Boxes and Stringybank Creek among them, provided that they bring their 'A' games with them. Danish Duke is back on a handy mark and has conditions and trip to suit, so he could return to the frame, while Le Manege Enchante is also capable of having a big say if he doesn't miss the kick this time. However, POINT OF WOODS is in good form and after twice going close just lately, he is taken to get it right this time.
