The handicapper has given him more of a chance just lately and he has been responding positively, Now steps up in trip as well as dropping a further 1lb and as a half-brother to a 2m winner, he may get this far. Should be competitive at this level.
Came good at the eleventh attempt at Doncaster (1m4f, good) last time and has gone up just 2lb for that. Handles good to soft ground, though is going to need to step up on all previous form to follow up.
Scored on her seasonal return and first run for this yard at Redcar (1m2f, good to firm) in May and has run to similar levels on all three starts since, all from today's mark. Upped in trip now to try to elicit a bit more improvement, but not certain to stay and may find a couple too good.
Beat some pretty ordinary older horses to win at Ayr (1m2f, good) last time, when he had just a neck to spare. A 3lb rise will make this tougher still and he will do well to follow up. Not certain to stay, though there is a glimmer of hope in his pedigree.
Her best effort so far was on her handicap debut at Hamilton (1m½f, good) in July. 3lb lower than that here and now stepped up significantly in trip, there is plenty in her pedigree to suggest that this will suit. If she handles cut in the ground then she could go very well here.
Has been kept to 1m2f of late, but his best run was on his only try at around this trip when beaten just over 2L in a Newcastle maiden in March. The return to it looks positive and from a more realistic mark now he can have a say.
Disappointing in the main and certainly last time when as short as 6-1 for a selling handicap at Beverley (1m4f, good to soft), when he trailed in 13L adrift of the winner. Has plenty to prove.
Looks moderate and despite being dropped another 2lb here, the step up to this trip does not look to be ideal on pedigree and she looks likely to have a tough task today.
Never a threat on her debut for this stable at Newcastle (1m, AW) last time. A 1lb drop takes her out of the handicap by the same amount, though she is stepped up to a trip that pedigree suggests might be the key to something a bit more positive.

Forecasts
Ingleby Mackenzie (11/4), Take A Turn (9/2), Broughtons Knight (5/1), Clenymistra (11/2), Tewafeedj (7/1), Flowers Will Bloom (10/1), Spanish Beauty (11/1), Princess Nearco (16/1), Thomas Crown (16/1), Circuit (33/1)
Broughtons Knight looks capable of being competitive today, while Ingleby Mackenzie has to be respected after winning last time. Take A Turn also fits that bill but has stamina to prove, while Tewafeedj could take a step forward now returned to this trip with a receding handicap mark. However, PRINCESS NEARCO is also on what looks to be a handy mark and with an extra 7lb claimed off her back and some positive vibes from her pedigree with regard to this trip, it might be worth chancing that she will act on this ground.
- Princess Nearco
- Tewafeedj
- Ingleby Mackenzie
