Chasing a hat-trick having won his two starts so far in 2017. Both of those victories came over C&D including on soft ground at the end of June. Races off a 5lb higher mark here and likely to put in a bold show once more.
Beaten a head over 5f at Ayr (good-to-soft) on his penultimate outing but well beaten sixth at Haydock on quicker ground subsequently. Has won off this mark in the past.
A winner five times already this season including over C&D on good-to-firm ground in April. Saw off seven rivals when winning at Ffos Las (good) last time out and remains of interest despite a 4lb rise in the weights for that latest success.
Successful over 5f at Leicester (good-to-soft) in May but held in three starts at Hamilton since. Finished last of eight on soft ground last time out and races off a mark 2lb higher than for that Leicester success today.
Recording his sixth victory when successful on good-to-soft ground over 5f at Carlisle last month. Slowly away when beaten 3L into third in similar conditions over this C&D last week and one to note in this contest.
Ran well when finishing a close third over 5f at Haydock (good) on her debut for this stable last month. Tried to make all on that occasion and races off a 1lb lower mark today.
Winner on good-to-firm ground at Chepstow over this distance in May. Disappointing in the main since and as a result races off a mark 3lb lower than for that latest success.
Finished a close second on good-to-soft ground over C&D in June. Disappointed in a hood (left off today) on two subsequent starts and is looking for her first victory at the 15th attempt today.
Forecasts
Show Palace (7/2), Major Valentine (7/2), Rainbow Orse (9/2), Casterbridge (5/1), Foxtrot Knight (7/1), Ayresome Angel (10/1), Bithynia (14/1), Roy's Legacy (20/1)
SHOW PALACE finished runner-up when attempting to follow up a Carlisle victory over C&D last week and he can take this competitive sprint handicap. The selection was slowly away last time and can get the better of the hat-trick seeking Rainbow Orse who is bidding to maintain a 100% strike-rate this season while Major Valentine, a prolific winner already in 2017 including at Ffos Las last time out is taken to finish third today.
- Show Palace
- Rainbow Orse
