22,000gns foal, €20,000 yearling, who went for £10,000 at the breeze-ups in April. Half-brother to three winners, the best of which was Easy Tiger (7f, inc AW 2yo) and out of a 5f-6f winner. Yard well below its usual strike rate with juveniles so far this year and yet to get on the board, so probably one to watch this time.

Improved for his Lingfield debut (6f, good to firm) when last seen at Nottingham (6f, soft) in June. Not related to much in the way of juvenile success and still needs a fair bit more improvement to record some of his own this time.

Made a decent improvement for her debut when beaten less than 2L having been stepped up to this trip at Epsom (good) last time. The fifth that day has since been narrowly beaten in a maiden, so she probably has more improvement to come and looks a leading player today.

Outperformed her 33-1 SP on debut at Chepstow (6f, soft) last week and makes a quick return to the track. If this doesn't come too soon for her, then she looks capable of improvement for that run and ought to be capable of going even closer this time.

Has finished last on both starts so far, both over this trip on good to firm and then soft ground. Not easy to fancy today on that evidence, but should be capable of getting competitive when she has a handicap mark for her trainer to work with.

Forecasts

Diamond Express (13/8), Lope De Loop (9/4), Silvington (4/1), Greeneyedafghan (9/2), Moremoneymoreparty (16/1)

Verdict

Greeneyedafghan probably merits a market check on pedigree, even though William Muir's juveniles have not yet got off the mark this year, while Silvington could improve, but like Moremoneymoreparty is probably more likely to do better in nurseries. Lope De Loop ran really well on debut, though this race will come plenty quick enough for her and preference is for DIAMOND EXPRESS, whose Epsom run is beginning to work out and might just have the edge this time.
  1. Diamond Express
  2. Lope De Loop
  3. Silvington
