Was showing signs of gradual improvement for Richard Whittaker before taking a bigger step forward on debut for new yard. Went down narrowly to a potentially well handicapped horse and more can be expected now, particularly with this jockey booking grabbing our attention.

Has improved with each run for new trainer culminating in a fluent victory at Windsor in first time cheekpieces. A 4lb rise appears generous and another bold display is predicted.

Showed dramatic improvement under this rider to make the most of easy ground at Newbury last week. Shoulders an extra 6lb for that 8L victory and that should be insufficient to halt her progress. Drier conditions would make her less attractive though.

Has squandered easier opportunities than this and is now looking difficult to place. Likely to be thereabouts again but will probably find one or two too good again.

Still looking for his first win after seven attempts between 7f and 1m4f, again looking a touch one-paced at Ripon (1m4f, good) last time. Races without his regular hood and with a tongue-tie employed for the first time.

Verdict

SEDUCE ME was so impressive last week it is hard to overlook her claims. That win came as a shock as she had looked exposed and unattractively weighted, but a 6lb penalty for an 8L margin of victory now makes her the outstanding pick in this. On a more cautionary note that win was gained on soft ground and she may be vulnerable to any improvement in conditions. Pumaflor is the obvious danger having run so well on his yard debut and with the jockey booking signalling intent. Fit For The Job won well last time and continues to thrive for the switch to his new yard.
