The same trainer/jockey combination won this race last year with Mysterial and they try again with this front-runner who looked as though he was nearing his peak on his penultimate run. He couldn't get to the front last time out and that ruined his chance but he is off a potential winning mark here and will be dangerous if getting free on the lead.
His form since sinning at Doncaster just over a year ago off a mark of 79 over a mile on soft ground had looked patchy but he showed more last time out at Ayr over this trip of a falling mark. Pushed up 3lb for that run he could still take a hand although he's not the smoothest of travellers.
Probably best summed up by his career record of 0/14 his last run was a carbon copy of a few previous ones where he shaped well and finished with running left but left you with the feeling he should have done more. He's not one for a battle and not matter how well he travels he doesn't find that much for pressure and isn't one for a battle.
Got a good and enterprising ride when winning his only race so far over 1m1f at Carlisle on soft ground. Has now slipped back below that last winning mark and is showing some signs of life without being a winner waiting to happen.
Showed a very good attitude and responded well to pressure when winning twice at Beverley this year over a similar trip looking well suited by that particular track. Still looked in good form last time at Pontefract (went too hard up front) and is 3lb above his last winning mark.
One of just two three-year-olds in the field he showed improved form to score over 1m4f on the AW in June having the run of the race from the front. Has run with credit on his two starts since although it does look as though he needs the run of the race and may not get that here with Save The Bees in the field.
Was useful when he was with Clive Cox and Keith Dalgleish (won off a mark of 88) but has regressed a great deal since then. Went better than for quite some time on his last start but did have the run of the race and can't be relied onto repeat that even though his mark continues to fall.
The other three-year-old and least experienced runner in the field who makes his handicap debut here. Has very much looked the sort from his maiden runs who has been brought along with handicaps in mind finishing third on his last two starts and looking very much the sort that the yard do well with and well worth watching in the market.
His one to his name so far came on his debut and he's continued to have an erratic profile since then. His second run this year would give him a slight chance here but he really does need to show more to be of interest overall.
Did manage to win by a narrow margin for his former yard at Musselburgh in 2016 but has made little impact for his current yard although he would have needed his comeback run after a none-month break last time.

True Romance (7/2), Zealous (4/1), Bit Of A Quirke (4/1), Infamous Lawman (6/1), Save The Bees (7/1), Eez Eh (10/1), Satish (11/1), Polar Forest (16/1), Quoteline Direct (20/1), Arizona Sunrise (50/1), Jacob Black (66/1)
This could be run at a decent pace with both Save The Bees and True Romance two that like to front run and there’s a chance they could get into a pace war. Bit Of A Quirke is a hardy sort with a good attitude but he has crept above his last winning mark while Satish is one of the likely travellers in the race although he tends to find very little for pressure. Zealous appeared to be suited by this trip last time and enters the equation but its INFAMOUS LAWMAN who goes handicapping for the first time who is the overall suggestion for a yard that do well with this type.
- Infamous Lawman
- Bit Of A Quirke
- Save The Bees
