Grand servant over the years, but has not won since March, last year, and has dropped 19lb since then. Not disgraced when held up as usual at Wolverhampton last time and has each-way claims.
Won at Lingfield in May following a break, but has disappointed twice since off 1lb higher. Back to that Lingfield mark, but has to show he is in the mood to replicate that display after a couple of flops.
Got off the mark over C&D at the sixth time of asking and is brought out quickly under a penalty. Obviously on the upgrade and is sure to be one of the market leaders.
Has won only one of his 32 races, but shaped well in a C&D apprentice handicap last time. Competes off a 1lb higher mark, but is clearly in good heart and has to be considered despite that worrying win percentage.
Only win in 21 starts came on the AW, but last two runs on turf have been respectable and she should be competitive again. Others make more appeal, however.
Has finished fourth in six starts from 5f to 7f, but 6f looks to be her best trip judged on fair efforts at Newcastle and Kempton in January. Has been given a break since disappointing over 7f at Chelmsford in February and may need this to sharpen her up.
Still a maiden after 13 starts and has shown little in seven races since the turn of the year. Needs to find dramatic improvement to figure.
Without a win in 18 starts, but shaped well over 7f at this track last time and is 5lb lower. He was doing most of his best work at the finish that day so this drop in trip may not be what is required.

Jacksonfire and Kath's Boy have prospects at the foot of the weights, but neither may be suited by dropping in trip. At the other end of the handicap, Fleckerl can be given a chance following a fair run last time and Mad Endeavour would be a threat if returning to the form of his Lingfield success three starts ago. However, the obvious one is GAVAL, a lightly-raced gelding who came good over C&D last time and is turned out again under a penalty. Quintus Cerialis looks best of the rest.
