Havana Gold filly whose dam was a 1m2f-1m3f Flat AW winner and is a half-sister to smart hurdler Rayvin Black. Looks a long-term prospect for a stable not noted for it first-time-out juvenile winners.
Daughter of Rip Van Winkle who cost 27,000 gns as a yearling. She is a half-sister to 6f 2yo winner Lost At Sea and is from the family of Middle Park Stakes winner Primo Valentino. Makes some appeal on pedigree and is worth a check in the betting market.
Delegator filly whose dam was a 5f-7f winner. Stable has not had a 2yo winner with its last 19 runners on turf so unless the market shouts in her favour, she looks one of the less likely sorts.
Has shown a good deal of promise on both starts at Pontefract and York. One of the most appealing of those contenders with experience and likely to make a bold bid for her respected stable.
Daughter of Dandy Man who cost €46,000 as a yearling and is a half-sister to winning performers Art Scholar and Jaeger Train. Stable does particularly well with its juveniles so this filly has to be of interest on debut.
Ultimately well beaten in outings at Yarmouth and Newmarket, but hinted at ability on both occasions. She qualifies for nurseries after this and is likely to be more effective in that sphere,
Archipenko filly who is a half-sister to 7f 2yo winner Peak Hill. Stable has a moderate strike rate with its juveniles and she will probably need the experience on debut.
Has beaten only one of 23 rivals in two starts at Doncaster, being sent off at 50-1 and 66-1. Little to recommend her on those efforts and may do better in nurseries.
Daughter of Makfi who fetched €37,000 as yearling and is a sister to 6f winner Avenue Of Stars. Stable in good form and capable of readying a 2yo first time so well worth a look in the betting.
Mayson half-sister to 7f winner Hold The Star and 5f juvenile winner Falcon Prince. Slowly away on debut at Newbury, but shaped well to finish sixth of 11. Entitled to improve for the run and should go well.
Stepped up on her Windsor debut run when second of nine at Lingfield. Made most of the running there and, with experience on her side, can make another bold bid from the front.
Pastoral Pursuits filly who fetched only 2,000 gns as a foal and is a half-sister to 7f 2yo winner Minal and 5f-1m3f winner Avon River. Stable not noted for its juvenile turf winners so best to look elsewhere.
Home-bred daughter of Pastoral Pursuits out of a mare who was successful eight times over sprint distances. Slowly away and always behind when last of 16 on debut at Windsor. Needs significant improvement.
Rip Van Winkle filly whose dam was a 1m1f 2yo winner. Showed plenty of promise when fourth of 10 on debut at Epsom and although this race is over 1f shorter, she clearly enters calculations.
Forecasts
Collateral Beauty (3/1), Tiny Tempest (7/2), Misty Spirit (5/1), Chickpea (6/1), Dandiesque (8/1), Isabella Mayson (12/1), Gold Eagle (12/1), Helen Sherbet (12/1), Harbour Seal (25/1), Astrojewel (50/1), Headwear (50/1), Chloellie (66/1), Raise A Little Joy (66/1), Night Air (66/1)
Several fillies make their debuts and the best of them may be Dandiesque and Helen Sherbet, but both could need the experience so it may be prudent to side with those who have the benefit of racecourse experience. Tiny Tempest shaped well at Epsom, but the drop in distance is a slight concern, while Isabella Mayson and Misty Spirit have shown enough to suggest they have a race in them. However, preference is for COLLATERAL BEAUTY, who has shown a good deal of promise in outings at Pontefract and York and may well be good enough in this company.
- Collateral Beauty
- Tiny Tempest
- Misty Spirit
