Well-bred and expensive juvenile (£190,000) who opened his account at the first time of asking at Beverley. Fourth on softer ground in a better race under a penalty at Newbury last time, but this looks slightly easier and he sets the standard despite having to concede weight all round.
Son of Dutch Art who cost 75,000 gns as yearling. Already a gelding, he is a half-brother to six winners from 5f to 1m2f. Makes his debut today, represents a good stable and is worth a check in the market.
Exceed and Excel colt who fetched 80,000 gns as a yearling and is a half-brother to 7f/1m winner Capelita and 1m/1m2f scorer Rainbow Dreamer. Stable has been among the winners, so he is another who should be considered on debut.
By Havana Gold, he cost 42,000 gns as a foal and his dam was placed over 1m2f and 1m4f. Looks the sort to do better in time when tackling longer trips and is probably his leading owner's second string,
Showed some promise on debut when seventh of 12 at Thirsk, but stepped up on that at Haydock where he did much of his best work in the final furlong to finish third. By no means out of this, but qualifies for a handicap mark next time and nurseries over longer distances should be his thing.
Displayed plenty of promise when fourth of nine to a high-class colt on debut (6f) at Chester and again showed lots of ability in finishing second of seven at Newmarket last time (7f), Drops back to the distance of his first start and is a leading contender given the prospect of further improvement.. Looks top owner's first string.
Shamardal filly whose dam was a Listed winner over 1m4f. Too green to do herself justice on debut over this trip at Newmarket and is likely to need longer trips in time.

An intriguing juvenile contest which features contenders with a good level of form and some nicely-bred and not inexpensive newcomers. Ghayadh sets the standard, but is probably vulnerable under his penalty, so the selection is YAFTA, who has shown plenty of promise in decent company and should cope with this step back in trip. Kodiac Express has solid placed form to her name, while any of the newcomers might be good enough to win on debut. The ones to catch the eye on paper are Authentic Art and Chilean.
