Unraced son of Harbour Watch who fetched £16,000 as a yearling. Dam was a useful US sprinter who has produced five winners. Stable are just 1-33 with this age group in 2017 but worth noting in the market for such a modest contest.

Split a couple of nice horses at York last time and should be better for the switch back to 7f. Sets the clear standard with the jockey booking strengthening his claims.

Has shown steady improvement with each race but still appears well short of the standard that will be required to take this. Yard 2-88 with juveniles over the past five seasons.

Dam won 11 races for the yard but needed time and middle-distances to bring out her best. Debut effort suggests he is another long term project.

Unraced Dream Ahead filly and half-sister to three winners including the useful juvenile Mobsta. Stable do well here and this is her chosen engagement from three possible targets this week.

Only beat one home last time and overall form leaves her looking short in quality. That said, this is a weak race and, being out of a dam who won over 7f as a juvenile, she may step up on those efforts here.

Debut third came in a poor Leicester seller. Stable are 2-84 with juveniles over the past five seasons and she has plenty to find at this level.

By Canadian sire Awesome Again, she cost only £800 as a 2yo and her dam was a winner on AW and dirt around a mile. There was some money for her on debut at Kempton, but she could finish only eighth of 11 after being slowly away. Needs to step up on that.

Pammi

22/1
Daughter of Poet's Voice out of a dam who was only moderate. Retained by the vendor for 2,000 gns and will be the yard's first juvenile runner of 2017. Stable have been quietly getting on with business this year with a 23 percent strike rate. However, it would still come as a surprise if she proved good enough.

Forecasts

Midnight Wilde (3/10), Lady Alavesa (4/1), Azezati (6/1), Kentucky Blueblood (10/1), Roman Spinner (12/1), Casey Banter (14/1), Harbour Vision (18/1), Pammi (22/1), Hidden Dream (25/1), Four Fifty Three (28/1), Gas Monkey (28/1)

Verdict

Harbour Vision and Azezati are a couple of interesting newcomers who are worth noting in the market. Neither represent yards who have made a good start with their youngsters and preference is for MIDNIGHT WILDE. His latest run at York sets a clear standard and, if coping with the slower underfoot conditions, looks capable of giving his rider yet another winner. Lady Alavesa looks the main threat judged on her Leicester second when the ground was riding soft.
  1. Midnight Wilde
  2. Lady Alavesa
  3. Azezati
