Knows how to win should the opportunity arise, and will find this easier than some of the tasks he was taking on in handicaps last year. Has been in good form on the Flat this year and with trip and likely ground fine, a good showing would not surprise.
2015 the last time he won a race, and has gone through a few trainers since. Not seen out since September when he seemed to be regressing and hard to fancy here.
Couple of reasonable efforts in similar company this year and this trip and likely ground ideal, probably did as well as could be expected against a couple of decent sorts at Stratford last time but a place may be the best he can hope for.
Soundly beaten in most of his point-to-point starts and hard to make a case for on Rules debut today. Others readily preferred.
Useful 80-rated handicapper on the Flat at his peak (best at a mile) and the recent change of yard seems to have rekindled a bit of his interest, although didn't finish his race off with any gusto last time. Hurdles debut today, and all in all, best watched.
Bred for the job, although no stars in the family and was a relatively cheap purchase. Yard know the time of day and often introduce a nice type into these races, but unless strong in the market, probably best watched on debut.
70-rated winning Flat handicapper that will stay this trip, not shown much so far and needs this for a handicap mark where his best chance of success will lie.
Cheap purchase for current connections but showed more than enough on first start for the yard when fourth to the gambled-on Psychedelic Rock here last time out. Will come on for that and if jumping better, may go well.
Showed only the merest glimmer of ability at Uttoxeter last time, and this low-grade Flat handicapper will need to up his game an awful lot to get involved here.
More letters than numbers in her form, but it does mask the fact she's shown a bit of ability and the switch to Dan Skelton today is likely to bring about further improvement. Has to be a leading player for yard flying again at present.
Twice a winner (over a mile) on the Flat for Marco Botti but has done next to nothing in fur hurdles starts for current connections and hard to fancy here.
Forecasts
Amanto (11/4), Bise D'estruval (11/4), Ogbourne Downs (5/1), Jackblack (6/1), Amadoue (10/1), Jacobite Rising (14/1), Enmeshing (14/1), Diamond Joel (14/1), Lion Of Lackabane (66/1), The Greedy Boy (66/1), Sahalin (80/1)
Bise D'Estruval comes here rather than taking in the Mares race at 7.50 and this does look a weak event. Plenty will go with her on her first run for Dan Skelton, but JACOBITE RISING might improve a little on just his second run for Charlie Longsden and may represent a bit of value. Jackblack can pick up some more place money.
