Will find this easier than some of the tasks he took on last year (made favourite to beat World Hurdle winner Unowhatimeanharry on one occasion) but in truth struggled for much of the year. Too soon to write off and if back to best, holds a solid chance here.
Over two years since he was last seen, but looked an improving horse then and handicapper has given him a chance if fit. However, this trip might just stretch his stamina and overall, is best watched.
In good form and has won his last couple of fences, value for more than the ½l he won at Southwell last time as he idled badly on the run in. On a good mark compared to chase form and with trio and ground ideal, the hat-trick can't be ruled out.
Now 2lb lower than his Market Rasen win of last year (in better grade than this) and not a bad effort back there after an eight-month absence latest. Chances if building on that but yard very quiet this year (just the 3 winners since it started).
Has her own ideas about the game at times, and can throw the towel in but front runs and can be hard to catch if on a going day. However, well beaten by Supreme Steel when last seen and hard to see how she reverses that form under similar conditions here.
Will appreciate the return to a left-handed track, as most f her best form comes this way around, but likely to need this run after a break (normally needs a run or two to achieve full fitness) and still looks a pound or to too high. Others preferred.
Chase campaign has been aborted and finds himself back over hurdles here, and whilst both trip and ground are fine, he's not pulling any trees up at present and is on a higher mark than latest moderate effort over fences, and yard have struggled for winners lately.
There's been a return to form lately, running well over this C&D on last two starts and not beaten far latest. This trip probably just stretches his stamina to the very limit but if jockey can hold onto him a bit longer, might just last out here and he can't be ruled out.
No win since 2015 but she likes it here, and has gone close to putting that right on her last couple of starts. Will appreciate return to this trip after not quite mustering up enough pace over shorter last time and although another 2lb higher, can go close.
In good form this time last year, winning back-to-back handicaps at Stratford and Southwell but has looked a shadow of that horse on recent starts, well beaten Newton abbot latest and handicapper slow to cut any slack. Others preferred.
Step up to this trip seemed to pull out a much improved effort latest, just done on the nod and probably should have won but for rider dropping the tack late on. Up 5lb for that but chances if taking another step forward.

Forecasts
Scoop The Pot (3/1), Court King (4/1), Supreme Steel (9/2), Over The Air (7/1), A Boy Named Suzi (8/1), Sheer Poetry (8/1), Kalifourchon (8/1), Altesse De Guye (10/1), Doitforjoe (16/1), Lady Of Longstone (18/1), Generous Chief (33/1), Sporting Boy (33/1)
A few can be given chances here, with preference for SUPREME STEEL, who appears to be on an upward curve and should have more to offer. A Boy Named Suzi is doing little wrong but is susceptible in the last 200 yards to stronger stayers and may have to settle for the runner-up spot. Over The Air should go well if continuing her run of good form, with this longer tip probably in her favour.
- Supreme Steel
- A Boy Named Suzi
- Over The Air
