Has fallen a long way in the handicap since his glory days but can still run with credit and showed that when winning back-to-back handicaps last year over this sort of trip and going. Not quite back to his best this year but is getting there and didn't have the run of the race when third at Hamilton (can be slow away and pull hard) but must be given a chance here.
No stranger to running well around here (four-time C&D winner) and has certainly dropped to a mark that he can win off. Not at his best last time (ridden by inexperienced jockey) and needs stronger handling with his last four wins coming with Rachel Richardson doing the steering.
Finally ended the long losing spell last time out with a win at Ffos Las off what had become a tumbling mark over 1m2f. Now carrying a 6lb penalty for that win but not an obvious type to build on that last win and go in again.
Remains a maiden but there have been one or two efforts in handicaps that could see him take a hand here. He's coming down the weights and better than his run last time out and may have a little to offer with the cheekpieces tried again although the wide draw won't help.
His handicap form is only modest at best and he looks totally out of sorts of late although he does act on testing ground. Others even at this level are much preferred.
Will be of interest based on the jockey booking alone and with the cheekpieces back on she returned to form over C&D on her penultimate start under today's rider. Dropped back a little in trip last time out she maintained her form when taking the runner-up slot at Redcar and should remain in form here off a mark of 50.
The only three-year-old in the field from a predominantly jumping yard she offered very little on her handicap debut over 1m2f at Ayr. Probably needs to be eased a few pounds before she can make any impression in handicaps.
Very much on the downgrade since having a decent season in 2015 and has shown very little of late that would make you want to get involved with him here.

Forecasts
Indian Chief (13/8), Sakhalin Star (7/2), Graceful Act (6/1), King Of The Celts (7/1), Ivors Involvement (9/1), Patent (10/1), I'm Super Too (14/1), Les Pecheurs (20/1), Port Lairge (22/1)
This division of the concluding handicap looks a little stronger than the first and with King Of The Celts in the field this should be run at a decent gallop. Sakhalin Star is no banker to follow-up his win from last time and Patent is of more interest although a wide draw won’t help. Graceful Act is in a rich vein of form at the moment but INDIAN CHIEF just gets the vote over the mare on the ground. He looks as though he’s running into form and will be well handled by his experienced rider here for a combination of rider and trainer that have a good chance in the first division of this handicap.
- Indian Chief
- Graceful Act
- Patent
