Pedigree suggests that he's quite a speedy juvenile but he's given a step-up in trip here after making a winning debut at York in June over 6f on quick ground. Stable have done well with juveniles this year and he should go well here despite having to give weight all round.

Took him a while to get off the mark but appeared to be suited by the step-up to in trip when scoring over C&D on his penultimate start. Not quite up to that mark in his most recent run again over C&D and looks to have a little to find here.

Filly with plenty of scope who won on her debut on the AW at Kempton Park over 7f staying on well and looking to improve. A rare juvenile winner on debut for this yard this was an encouraging debut and she looks sure to take a hand here.

Yard have had a pretty barren season overall and are 0/26 with their juveniles. One of a couple that they run in the contest here he was well held on his debut over 7f at Redcar and offered little.

From a yard that are having one of their best seasons and are 3/16 with their juveniles this season. This Zoffany colt was well backed on his debut but looked very inexperienced on his Redcar 7f debut and will need to have improved to take a hand here.

Debutante from a stable that are starting to get going again after an enforced break. A half-brother to six winners including the useful 1m2f winner Lava Flow he's worth watching in the market for a yard that can have winning juveniles on debut.

The second runner from a yard that have been very quiet this year he cost £15,000 as a yearling and is a half-brother to several winners, including useful winner up to 1m Walkingonthemoon. Overall form of the yard and with juveniles mean he is hard to recommend here.

One of the more experienced in the line-up having already had four runs with his best coming on his second run at Ayr over 6f on soft ground. Looked at home over 7f on the AW at Newcastle and it may well be that he's best with some give in the ground and isn't written off here despite a poor run last time on quick ground.
Stable have managed a couple of juvenile winners this year but started at 100/1 on her debut at Thirsk when finishing well held although not knocked about at all. May take a small step forward here but looks to have a tough task overall.

Forecasts

International Man (13/8), Weellan (9/4), Poet's Dawn (6/1), Codicil (13/2), Morning Wonder (10/1), Echo (20/1), Troop (33/1), Cum Spiro Spero (50/1), Charming Power (50/1)

Verdict

Despite winning over C&D Poet’s Dawn does have a little to find with some of these now and International Man looks to have more improvement left in him stepping up in trip after making a winning debut. Plenty of the others will need to find more on their outings so far and neither of the debutantes looks to have an outstanding chance. If there is one that could be a dark one here then its Weellan back on a softer surface which looks to suit him. Overall though CODICIL was a rare winning juvenile for the Prescott team and that marked her down as smart the only slight doubt being the switch to soft turf from the AW.
  1. Codicil
  2. International Man
  3. Weellan
