Winner of his penultimate start over 6f at Yarmouth (good-to-firm) in early May but well held at Goodwood (good) subsequently and previous AW efforts this year are uninspiring.
Run some fair races since winning over 6f at Lingfield in early February. Well held last time out though now racing off a mark 1lb lower than for that latest success.
Ran well when finishing fourth in a first time visor (retained since) over an extended 5f at Bath (firm) last month but well beaten over the same C&D subsequently. Rated 1lb lower than for his most recent victory.
Couple of solid efforts including when runner-up to Varsovian at Lingfield earlier this year but disappointing on turf on three most recent starts and more needed here.
Running well in the main of late including when fourth of ten over 6f on his return to the AW at Kempton last time out. Latest success came over C&D in January and an interesting runner here.
Six time winner but below par since finishing runner-up over 6f at Catterick (good-to-firm) in May. Making his first appearance at this track and seeking a first AW victory at the 12th attempt today.
Justified favouritism when dropping to this trip for the first time to easily win a claiming contest here earlier this month. Placed a couple of times off this mark over 7f on turf prior to that and has won off higher marks on turf in the past.
Wore a first time tongue tie (retained since) when a claiming contest over this trip at Chelmsford in May. Held twice since including over 7f last time out and having just his third start over this trip today.
Wore a tongue tie for the first time when finishing a close fourth over 6f at Chester (good) earlier this month. Races off the same mark here and interesting having finished runner-up off a 3lb higher mark at Kempton in January.
Won by a nose over 5f here early last month but finished last on both subsequent starts including on the AW at Newcastle last time. Well beaten on only previous try at this trip.
Couple of decent efforts in the spring including when runner-up off a 6lb higher mark over C&D in April. Disappointing the last twice including when last at Brighton on his latest outing and wears a tongue tie for the first time here.
In good form earlier this winner winning and placing over C&D during the winter. Returned from two months off when winning over 5f at Hamilton (good-to-firm) in early May and a respectable effort when fifth at Pontefract last time.
Cheekpieces (retained) appeared to have a positive effect when finishing 1L second over C&D earlier this month. Races off the same mark here and rated 3lb lower than for his most recent victory.
Forecasts
Cappananty Con (4/1), Gold Club (9/2), Favourite Treat (11/2), Kamra (7/1), Spirit Of Wedza (15/2), Extrasolar (12/1), Miracle Garden (14/1), Passing Star (14/1), Varsovian (16/1), Picture Dealer (18/1), Kyllukey (20/1), Rockley Point (25/1), Krystallite (40/1)
FAVOURITE TREAT can follow up his claiming success here earlier this month by taking this competitive looking handicap. The selection has placed in handicap company twice on turf in recent months and can get the better of Spirit Of Wedza, successful over C&D in February and also a winner at Hamilton since. Cappananty Con ran well when fourth on the AW last time and is taken to claim third here.
