Hit and miss performer who has been particularly poor lately. Pulled up on last two starts following win at Plumpton in May. Looks be struggling following 11lb hike.
Won a point-to-point last year but is a 12-race maiden under rules. Went close at Uttoxeter, just failing to reel in the winner and that was his best effort over fences to date. Improved again, finishing second of six beaten 2L, in a Ffos Las novice handicap chase, before a disastrous second of five, beaten 58L last day at Stratford.
Surprise winner on chasing debut, over CD, at 12/1 following an unspectacular hurdles career. Can improve but faces a run with an extra 8lb to carry.
Surprise winner on seasonal chase debut at odds of 10/1, following two uninspiring hurdle starts this season. Up 5lb for his efforts.
The switch to fences has produced huge improvement and he has won two of his four starts over the large obstacles. But has struggled off a revised mark on the last two starts.
Needed two runs and a drop back in trip to secure his second career chase win in Worcester handicap chase over 2m7f. Up 3lb and has won over this trip.
Not seen since second of six here in October 2016. Is a CD winner but it looks like he is in the hands of the handicapper, now 7lb higher than his CD win.
Losing run goes back to March 2013 with a win in a handicap chase over 3m5f on soft ground at Warwick. Pulled up on seasonal debut earlier this month. Best watched.
Forecasts
Jack Snipe (11/4), Kapgarde King (11/4), Oriental Fixer (6/1), Jonagold (6/1), Royals And Rebels (8/1), Louis Phillipe (9/1), King's Song (14/1), Bally Sands (22/1)
Jonagold, Kapgarde King and Louis Phillipe could be vying for the lead here over the first three or four obstacles. The likes of Kapgarde King, struggled off a revised mark on the last two starts and Oriental Fixer, surprise winner on chasing debut, over CD, at 12/1, should be on the shortlist, while JACK SNIPE, up 3lb but has won over this trip is the selection.
- Jack Snipe
- Oriental Fixer
- Kapgarde King
