Beat a well-backed rival earlier in the season at Yarmouth and improved again to finish fifth of 12 behind Cardsharp at Newmarket last time out. More progress likely and brings some of the best form to the table; leading player.
Justified odds-on favouritism with a win at Ripon on debut for this yard before finding Listed company a little too hot at the Royal meeting. Back on track with a dominant win at Ayr but well beaten again in Listed company last time at Newbury. May just find this a little too deep with more progressive rivals in the line up.
Dubawi colt, cost €1.4m as a yearling and dam won the French 1,000 Guineas. Improved from an impressive debut at Newbury where he was still green to win at Newmarket on second start. Hung on in game fashion there and holds an entry for a Group 1 at the Curragh; wants to be going close in this to justify that entry.
Two wins from his first two starts and only narrowly touched off in Listed company in hat-trick bid last time in France. Will have to improve again to land this contest and probably needs conditions to dry out a little but yard in excellent form and this jockey has a 27.27% strike-rate when riding for this trainer.
Smart debut effort followed by an impressive performance at Haydock last month. Been given some time to recover from that effort but form of the race not really been franked and others make more appeal. Any rain would enhance his chance.
Le Havre colt, cost €55,000 as a yearling. Won a C&D maiden two weeks back in very taking fashion despite the absence of any market support (14/1) and while it's hard to know what the form of that race is worth, he should go well in similar conditions again here with more improvement likely. Eye-catching jockey booking.
Arrives here in search of his fourth win on the spin but this represents a big step up in class and needs to take another step forward. A little more exposed than some in here and margin of his latest success suggests he may struggle in this company.
Forecasts
Tigre du Terre (7/4), Ghost Serge (9/2), Being There (11/2), Raydiance (7/1), Ventura Knight (7/1), Another Batt (9/1), Alba Power (12/1)
Tigre Du Terre's couldn't have won his debut over course and distance in much more impressive fashion and he gets the services of Ryan Moore here but it's ALBA POWER who may prove difficult to beat if he takes another step forward from an impressive effort at Newmarket last time out. Being There has some eye-catching entries and should be thereabouts and Ghost Serge can't be ruled out if the ground dries out.
