Raced prominently and despite a touch of greenness, finished well to win on debut in a novices' auction contest at Chepstow (7f, good) earlier in the month. Wouldn't be too short of the standard set by one or two of these and with improvement entirely possible he can go well again under a penalty.

Half-brother to French winners Calcutta (1m-1m2½f), Huang Ho (7f-1m) and Rensens (1m4f), out of French 1m1f/1m1¾f winner, from the family of Nureyev. Lovely pedigree, though one that also suggests that he will probably do better over further with age.

The best of his two runs so far was on debut at Newmarket (7f, good) at the beginning of this month, but found things a bit too hot at Ascot last time. Nonetheless, a repeat of that first run, or better, would give him claims of breaking his duck.
Didn't perform as the market had anticipated when sent off as the 15-8 favourite, but being beaten 7L into third on debut at Ascot (7f, good). Was beginning to get the hang of things on the run for home that day, so could make a significant improvement on it here. Claims.
Was ponied to the start on debut, where he probably benefited from that to come home in the frame (beaten just over 2L) at Redcar (6f, good to firm) last month. This extra furlong together with that positive experience under his belt suggests that he might have an each-way shout here.
Dwelt and ran green when a never dangerous last of eight, beaten 17½L on debut at Pontefract (5f, good to firm) in May. Pedigree suggests that he will be better for this step up in trip, but really he just needs to build on that debut this time around and is likely to do better in nurseries.
Was plenty green enough on debut at Haydock (7f, good to firm) earlier in the month and eventually came home last of seven, beaten 10½L. If he can settle better this time then there could be a fair bit of improvement in him, though it looks more likely that nurseries will be his bag.
€16,000 foal, who then cost 16,000gns as a yearling. Half-brother to three Flat winners over 7f-1m½f, out of a 1m2f winning daughter of a half-sister to Roseate Tern and Ibn Bey. Yard's newcomers tend to take a race or two to get going, but a precautionary market check is suggested to gauge any confidence.
Has made the frame on both starts, showing marginal improvement second time when running here over C&D (good to firm) last month. Step up in trip looks positive and she has to enter calculations.

High Seas looks like a very interesting newcomer worth a market check and she is likely to be able to give a good account, while the other filly in the line-up, Astraea merits respect after two decent efforts so far. Fortune's Pearl will find this tough under a penalty, but another good run is likely, while Jack Regan would have a decent shout if able to repeat or better his debut run. However, LAUGH A MINUTE should have learned plenty when a beaten favourite on debut and is taken to make amends.
