Produced a strong first effort in a tongue-tie (now removed) when not knocked about on her debut at Thirsk with the winner having won again since. The only four-year-old in this contest and might just prove vulnerable to the younger brigade.

Two runs so far have very much suggested that he's being brought along with the future and handicaps very much in mind.

One of the more experienced in the field but showed more progress again when finishing third on his latest run at Doncaster. Travelled well on his latest start and was only beaten by two equally promising types and looks likely to win an event like this.

Made a very promising debut in a race that's working out well with the first, third and fifth all winning next time out. Conceded experience to the two that he divided at the finish as well as first run to the winner and there should be more to come here.

Has some smart staying relations in his pedigree being by Nathaniel who is having a good season as a sire especially in staying races. Well worth noting in the market given his pedigree and connections.

Did far better on his second run than he did on his debut despite the same placing although he still looked green at Doncaster last time out. An obvious further improver with more to come although the softer surface is an unknown and that just puts a seed of doubt in the mind here.

Started life with David Lanigan but only ran once for him (finished last) and was subsequently sold for just £600 to his current connections. Best watched here.

Now back to maiden company after being well beaten on his handicap debut last time out with his previous maiden form not looking good enough to win this.

Dubawi filly whose dam was a 1m2f-1m4f winner and with the yard capable of producing a debut winner and worth paying attention to in the market.

Started a strong favourite on her only start as a three-year-old so far (as she was on her only juvenile start) but the inexperience she showed as a juvenile was still there and that held her back. Expected to know more this time around with the 1m4f expected to suit far better she should be ready to play a big part in the finish this time.

Certainly wasn't anything like her name on her debut when she looked very much in need of the experience at Doncaster over 1m2f. She looked to be learning through the race and should do better this time around in a race that looks fairly deep.

Sonnet Rose23
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-12| J: Saleem Golam| T: C Allen
150/1
Made her debut in a weak AW maiden at Kempton Park over 1m4f fading out of things in the closing stages. May do better here but this looks a little too tough for her.

Forecasts

Festival Of Ages (2/1), Gold Star (3/1), Musaahim (7/2), Ouja (8/1), Chief Craftsman (9/1), Turnpike Trip (16/1), Kohinur (25/1), Tinker Tailor (33/1), Captor (66/1), Quite Sharp (66/1), Sonnet Rose (150/1), The Iron Factor (150/1)

Verdict

Several of these have made an impression so far with Chief Craftsman being one of them along with Musaahim another one although the ground might be a problem for that one. FESTIVAL OF AGES should build on his debut with the form having worked out of his Haydock debut with his owner mate Gold Star probably the best of the newcomers along with Kohinur. Ouja is an interesting runner based on her two runs so far with this longer distance looking to suit after two runs over shorter trips.
  1. Festival Of Ages
  2. Chief Craftsman
  3. Ouja
