Pulled up on stable debut at Stratford on Sunday, recent efforts in point-to-points leave plenty to be desired.
Only a six-year-old but already the veteran of 44 races and has scored three times. Second last twice at Stratford and Uttoxeter, though beaten 9L in the latter race.
Wearing blinkers for the first time when finishing ½L second over 3m at Bangor (good-to-soft) in May, before winning a Fakenham handicap chase over 3m. Up 5lb for that win.
Not seen out under Rules for over two years, before run at Market Rasen, but has been running in point-to-points (winner at the seventh attempt in April 2016), before 11th of 12 on stable debut three weeks ago. Best watched.
Mark is falling quickly after a series of moderate efforts (both hurdles and fences) and based on his well-beaten fifth at Uttoxeter, before fifth of six, beaten 28L last day.
Well beaten, despite the figures in points, before second of eight, beaten 3L in a point-to-point in June.
Scored off a 8lb higher mark in October but form has been patchy since, including a 22L defeat last day at Perth.
Has been hurdling recently, last seen other the larger obstacles in June 2016. Not the force of old.
Winning pointer/staying hurdler who shaped nicely when chasing home Bindon Mill on his chasing bow in January, but form has steadily regressed since, pulled up last day.
Consistent sort over fences but has yet to win over then despite some decent efforts although disappointing at Fontwell and pulled up last day at Southwell over 3m.
Has managed to put a few runs together this year having only been seen twice in 2016 and he was only narrowly denied at Southwell, before second of seven beaten in Ffos Lass handicap chase over 2m5f, when beaten 6L.
Won a conditional handicap chase at Musselburgh in March and has regressed alarmingly, beaten a total of 88L in three starts. Interesting on stable debut to see if they can work any miracles with this fella.
Pulled up over fences here in June in 2m4f handicap chase on just his second start over the larger obstacles.
Forecasts
Oscar Lateen (6/4), Hepijeu (5/1), Ballypoint (15/2), Court Dismissed (12/1), So Satisfied (12/1), Eaton Rock (12/1), Quinto (14/1), Celtic Tune (16/1), No Through Road (20/1), Culm Counsellor (25/1), Viking Ridge (33/1), Burgess View (40/1), Buck Magic (66/1)
It's usually advantageous to be handy here, Hepijeu, Court Dismissed, Culm Counsellor will possibly dispute the lead in the early stages here. Court Dismissed, won a Fakenham handicap chase over 3m, can go well, but preference is for, EATON ROCK, second of seven beaten in Ffos Lass handicap chase over 2m5f last time out.
- Eaton Rock
- Court Dismissed
- Hepijeu
