Colonel John gelding cost $43,000 as a yearling, represents respected yard in this racecourse bow and is worth a glance in the betting.
Improved on second start at Navan recently over 6f (good) in a maiden, finishing 2¾L third of eight. Likely to be involved in the finish.
Just the one previous racecourse run, that came when showing some promise over 5f on the AW at Dundalk in December. Step up in trip should suit, has a chance if ready go off the break.
Son of Monsieur Bond cost 50,000 gns as a yearling in October 2015, was very poor in two maidens at Fairyhouse last month and has a lot of improvement to find to have any say here.
Beaten 6L on debut over a mile at Navan in April on good ground, should be able to muster better than that given some time. Worth a market check.
Finished second at Navan 12 days ago over this trip having gone off short-priced favourite. That was still an improved effort and should be amongst the principles once more.
Has already run twice over the C&D, in soft to heavy and good to firm ground, with no success. Beaten a long way in both runs and best watched for now.
Run well in all four maidens so far, drops back from 7f again for this and no shock if opening account soon. One for the shortlist.
Will have to improve considerable on efforts in three maidens so far, including this month over 7f at Leopardstown, if hoping to play forward role.
Filly has twice finished second over 7f recently and this drop back in distance might be the key, leading jumps handler is going well with summer runners and has to be respected.
Solid effort over 5f at Cork (yielding) on debut but since been a well-beaten favourite over this C&D on much firmer ground. Likely to face similar conditions this evening and impossible to be certain she will relish the test. Not written off.
Debuted last month at Cork (5f, yielding to soft) and didn't show anything like enough to warrant consideration for this prize.
Filly has rather struggled for consistency so far in five-race career, return to action over 1m2f at Ballinrobe on Monday was very poor but may be better suited at this distance if turning out again quickly.
Clodovil filly cost £72,000 as a yearling, under the pump not long after half way on debut at Tipperary over 7½f late last month, drops significantly back in trip for this and could improve for the experience.
Forecasts
Conversely (13/8), Bay Of Skaill (4/1), Mabaady (6/1), Cabin Crazy (9/1), Mirror Man (9/1), Court Queen (12/1), Flower Of May (14/1), In Somno (14/1), Voge (20/1), Beaming (25/1), Clover Moon (40/1), Peace Officer (50/1), Heavy Artillery (50/1), Sobistabo (100/1)
CONVERSELY travelled with real intent over 7f here last time out before finding less than anticipated. Her trainer has been going very nicely of late and with this drop back in distance to suit, she can get off the mark now. The newcomer Peace Officer merits a check in the betting for certain while Bay Of Skaill and Mirror Man are others that demand serious consideration.

- Bay Of Skaill
- Mirror Man
