Broke maiden tag over CD last week, when out-pointing Dreamboat Annie, a neck, the first two coming 2¼L away from eight rivals.
€88.000 foal and a daughter of Acclamation. Full-sister to 6f winner Victory Angel (inc at two) and half-sister to six winners, the best three of which won from 5f-1m, one as a juvenile. Improved to win at the second time of asking in Windsor maiden, beating Global Rose, ¾L. First three in that race pulled 4L clear of of their eight rivals.
Sire, Hellvelyn, was a precocious, high-class 5-6f 2yo, smart sprinter at 3-5, speedy pedigree; good 2yos from few chances.
Placed twice from three starts in France including when beaten 3L into second at Deauville (soft) over 5f in May. Could finish only fifth at Dieppe (good-to-soft) last time out and wears cheekpieces for the first time here.
Sire, Zebedee, was high-class 2yo sprinter, retired at 2; very good source of fast two-year-old sprinters. Related to Magical Memory, Ivawood and nine-time winner, Spring Loaded.
Forecasts
Golden Salute (5/4), Aquadabra (2/1), White Feather (4/1), Zumurud (13/2), Little Boy Blue (40/1)
Aquadabra is already having his eighth career run here, but may find the finishing speed of GOLDEN SALUTE, a little too quick. Zumurud looks the best of the two newcomers and will possibly go off favourite.
- Golden Salute
- Zumurud
- Aquadabra
