Both wins to date have come over 5f, and though he is worth another try at this trip in time, this seems to be a challenging enough race given the class and field size.

Won over this trip at Chelmsford in December and has been running to a fair level so far this year. This looks to be his trip and he has a good chance of recording a second career win with a first time visor applied.

Has run to a similar level on each of his starts so far, but now he is learning to settle better in his races and with a first time tongue strap on, it would be no surprise to see him make up for being beaten favourite at Bath last time.

Consistent sort who is yet to get off the mark despite always seeming to run his race. Second in a stronger race than this over shorter here last time out and looks to have a great chance off the same mark.

Winner of a Chester maiden last September (6f, good to soft), and though he hasn't been able to build on that since, this may prove to be his easiest assignment to date on his first start for a new trainer.

Steps back up to this trip but seems more effective over 5f and he was easily beaten (even over that trip) at a big price at Newbury last time.

Forecasts

Abiento (3/1), Coastal Cyclone (3/1), The Daley Express (7/2), Del Parco (7/2), Awesome Allan (7/1), Prominna (8/1)

Verdict

A beaten favourite when last seen at Sailsbury, perhaps COASTAL CYCLONE can bounce back with a second career win here. He has already showcased the fact he has plenty of ability and with this seemingly his ideal trip and a first time visor sure to do no harm, he looks the one to be on. This is a competitive little contest considering the relatively small field, though, where the consistent Del Parco and The Daley Express, who comes up in trip, are others to consider.
  1. Coastal Cyclone
  2. Del Parco
  3. The Daley Express
