Has been running some good races in handicaps over further than this recently, including a victory at Limerick over 1m. Last seen behind Moviesta at Dundalk 11 days ago.
Flopped on turf at Naas last Sunday in heavy going. Previously ran well over a mile around Dundalk this rating and not written off coming back to 7f.
Career-best effort when landing scoring over this trip on good ground at Bellewstown and backed that up with a rallying short-head victory at Navan over 6f.
All four wins have come over 6f to date, good run on seasonal bow over that trip at Navan in April though since run less encouragingly at the Curragh in May, before encouraging performance over 7f at Naas and Curragh last twice.
An eight time winner from 41 career starts on turf (18 race AW maiden). She stayed on strongly to take a 7F 21 runner course apprentices handicap by a head from Jealika in May and has largely remained competitive since despite a 4lb higher mark.
Out of form in five starts for two yards this year, hard to fancy on strength of second start for currently handler at Bellewstown, when beaten more than a dozen lengths.
Consistent gelding, but without a win in 24 turf starts, though encouraging runs last twice at Bellewstown and Curragh suggest a win soon.
Won a 7f Fairyhouse handicap at the beginning of the month at 6/1, before fourth of 13, beaten 2¾L in a Leopardstown 7f handicap on Thursday.
Last win came nine starts ago in a Gowran Park handicap over 7f on soft ground in June last season. Encouraging 3L defeat last day, despite sixth of eight in Bellewstown 1m handicap.
Forecasts
Captain Power (9/4), Palavicini Run (7/2), Rivellino (6/1), Red Sabor (6/1), Bainne (8/1), Geological (9/1), Midnitemudcrabs (14/1), Red Avenger (33/1), Independence Day (50/1)
The pace at the start of the race from Red Sabor and Geological, could well set this up for the likes of Captain Power, encouraging performance over 7f at Naas and Curragh last twice, Bainne, largely remained competitive since despite a 4lb higher mark than last win and the selection, PALAVICINI RUN, beaten 2¾L in a Leopardstown 7f handicap on Thursday.
- Palavicini Run
- Captain Power
- Bainne
