Been knocking on the door in four starts this term at in and around this trip without getting in, first-time cheekpieces are reached for now and could be the spark needed. On the shortlist.
Winner over this trip at Roscommon in soft ground last month, having previously scored here over the mile. Not as good since meeting firmer ground / up in the weights but one to consider, especially if there is some cut underfoot.
Twice a winner last summer, including here over a longer trip. Been out of sorts this season however, beaten 16L here over 1m1½f in May and tame since over hurdles at Cork. Bit to prove right now.
Returned to action last month at Down Royal (7f, good) when finding very little for pressure and may well have need that outing. Only previous turf win in 2013 and winless anywhere since 2015.
Five-race maiden on turf over 5f/6f, has twice before won on the AW but poor in that sphere this year and has it to prove now. Can race back on turf from significantly lower mark, which is a plus.
Mixed bag in seven-race winless streak last year, with more poor efforts than good. Off since August and every chance this run will be a stepping stone unless market vibes are suggesting otherwise.
No win since moving to Ireland and joining his current trainer in July last year, which is a concern, though he has run some nice races since and been there or thereabouts in four stats this term. Mark is sliding all the while.
A three time Flat winner on turf at up to 1m. Returned with tame effort in a maiden hurdle at Down Royal last month and no threat over a mile at this track 18 days ago. More needed.
Beaten out of sight on all five career starts and he's a habitual slow starter. Likely to struggle yet again on first outing since April.
Won a maiden at Thirsk in August 2015 but no success since in 13 further efforts. Was beaten 6¾L into fourth of 15 at Roscommon 12 days over this trip (good to yielding) and may harbour place claims at most here.
Improved showing over 6f at Fairyhouse 17 days ago off this rating, this will be just a seventh career start on turf so could be capable of building on that 3½L defeat.
Six-race maiden shaped well for a long way on recent return from 373 days off, appearing like he may have needed the run. Yard have been striking at 22% recently and there's a chance he'll improve now.
Mare won over a mile last June off a mark of 46, but there has been nothing in eight runs since to merit suggesting another win is imminent. Looks in need of some relief from the assessor and is wrong at these weights.
Last month's handicap bow at Cork over extended-mile (good to firm) brought with it an 8¾L defeat finishing in midfield. No real promise previously in three maidens, needs to show more.
Filly has made the frame just once in 11 runs, four outings this season have been a mixed bag, with positives being only minor, easier to look elsewhere if she gets in (Third Reserve).

Forecasts
Alans Pride (5/2), Eleuthera (9/2), Annie Irish (5/1), Eadaoins Pet (7/1), Harry Speed (9/1), Voyageofdiscovery (9/1), Cosmic Symbol (10/1), Captain Midnight (12/1), S P B Lucky (12/1), Mr Michael (12/1), Nam (14/1), Busy Bush (16/1), Galuminous (16/1), True Companion (16/1), Kates Doll (16/1), Romantic (16/1), Algebra (25/1), Cosy Club (25/1), Art Scene (33/1)
It may be wisest to concentrate on those near the top of the handicap, with top-weight Alans Pride going well lately and capable of holding his form despite another nudge up in the ratings. However EADAOINS PET has also been running some good races and would not be winning out of turn. She's been on the premises in four runs this season and perhaps the first-time cheekpieces will provide the extra spark needed to record a win. Further down the line, S P B Lucky remains a maiden but has been threating and represents a yard in full flow at the moment while chances can also be given to Mr Michael and Voyageofdiscovery.
- Eadaoins Pet
- Alans Pride
- S P B Lucky
