Didn't really figure on Tapeta in the Gosforth Park Cup at Newcastle latest but had been in decent enough shape prior to that with a couple of runner up efforts at York during May. Looks a player with this rider taking over in the saddle.

Not won since August 2013 (as a juvenile) but falling in the weights and has placed form in the book from earlier in the campaign. Stiff finish should suit (6L runner up in this race last year) and was only four places behind Rasheeq when sixth to Copper Knight at York in late May.

Fairly consistent this year, mainly around sharp tracks like Chester and Catterick, but has risen sharply in the weights as a result of a couple of victories. Much like Move In Time didn't get the splits when seventh of 14 to Excessable at York last week.

Another in-foal mare to have won fresh for this trainer in 2017 when successful over C&D in early July (fillies handicap). Has performed with immense credit in better races since (including here under a penalty), and must be feared at this track assuming the ground isn't riding a fraction too quick.

A typically tough Mark Johnston trained colt who has maintained his form and progress throughout a 21 race career. Possibly ideally suited by ground on the easy side of good (won on good to soft at Newmarket late last month), and was in deep over further latest so couldn't be discounted.

Generally saves his best form for the Roodeye at Chester with form figures there since September 2016 reading; 1,4,3,3,1,2,11,6,2. Ideally suited by ground riding good or softer, and upped another 1lb since finishing second of 11 to Normal Equilibrium three weeks ago.

C&D winner who likes to go from the front, and has a decent draw tonight, so likely to go out all guns blazing. Gradually easing back to the kind of mark that she won off on Polytrack (6f) in early May and a threat if able to dictate.

Age: 6|  Weight: 8-8| J: Joe Doyle| T: J G Given| OR:  76| CD
9/1
12 time career winner who used his fitness from the AW to full advantage earlier in the year winning twice over C&D in the early weeks of the season, and drops back to his last winning mark tonight (beat Noah Amor by a nose). However, this is stronger and he's not been so sharp since and might need a break to freshen up.

Forecasts

Gamesome (7/2), Rasheeq (4/1), Avon Breeze (9/2), Poet's Society (5/1), Signore Piccolo (6/1), Move In Time (8/1), Powerallied (9/1), Lucky Beggar (9/1), Oriental Relation (9/1), My Name Is Rio (10/1), Confessional (14/1), Megan Lily (16/1), Sandra's Secret (20/1)

Verdict

Likely to be fast and furious from the word go, this looks a devilishly tricky puzzle to solve. Signore Piccolo has a decent draw in stall four and if able to lay up behind the likely pacesetters which will include Sandra's Secret and Oriental Relation he's guaranteed to be making rapid strides late in the race. Similar comments apply to RASHEEQ who can be excused his latest run on Tapeta but holds appealing claims on his York form from May with Copper Knight. Expect David Allan's strength in the saddle to be a major plus to his chances from stall number eight. Of the others Move In Time needs luck from out wide whilst the in-foal mare Avon Breeze commands maximum respect at this track.
