Stayed on well up the hill at Beverley to force a dead-heat in a seller (7½f, good to firm) last time out and now returns to handicapping. Has previously run well from today's mark on three occasions this season and with his rider's 8lb claim he has a decent chance of a follow-up.
Has never won over as short as this, nor from this high in the ratings in a handicap. Not seen enough in recent outings to suggest that he is about to re-write his own CV this time around.
Goes well here and won over C&D last season (good to soft) from 4lb higher. Has been thereabouts in his last two outings (including here) from slightly higher marks than today's and has the ability to go close, if he can show that he is as good on faster ground.
Trip and ground are ideal for this ageing gelding who has not won for almost two years and is now 30lb lower than his last success. Has been thereabouts on each of his last two racecourse visits and there is no reason to believe that he can't get competitive again.
Usually effective when down to this sort of mark, having won from 1lb higher at Chelmsford in February (1m, AW) and gone close again at Ripon (1m, good) last time. One of the more likely contenders again today.
Races (and wins) almost exclusively at Ayr, where he has scored three times over 7f on good/soft ground. Has also run well over C&D in defeat, but after his latest Ayr success last month, the handicapper has looked to have his measure again.

Forecasts
Hernando Torres (5/2), Bollihope (7/2), Ingleby Angel (7/2), Framley Garth (5/1), Chiswick Bey (15/2), Let Right Be Done (8/1), Rioja Day (12/1)
Hernando Torres is on a handy mark and should be able to get very competitive here, while Ingleby Angel is now visored and that may help him in his bid to end a lengthy drought. Framley Garth is very interesting and if he handles conditions then he looks a live threat to the selection, who is CHISWICK BEY. Richard Fahey's charge arrives on the back of a selling win on a mark from which we know he is competitive and he may be able to outclass his opponents with his rider's claim a boost.
- Chiswick Bey
- Framley Garth
- Hernando Torres
