Winner of his first two races as a two-year-old which probably left him with an inflated mark. Got his career back on track to a certain extent last time out at Brighton when taking second but was favoured by the run of the race.
Not seen out as a juvenile he showed improved form last time out in a low-grade classified stakes appearing to be suited by the drop down in trip to a mile. He makes his handicap debut here and although the mark looks fair enough he was well positioned last time and may find this tougher.
Back into handicaps (has already had four attempts) after running in a maiden over 1m2f last time out (possibly found the trip too far). Will appreciate this trip more but might just need some help from the handicapper to score in this sphere.
Has taken a while to get going in handicaps but ran one of her best races when getting off the mark in handicaps over a mile in an apprentice race at Salisbury on quick ground. Now off a higher mark of 67 and could look a little vulnerable after being all out to hold on last time off 5lb lower.
Yet to score but looks to up to winning in this sphere after her last run over a mile at Leicester when she took the runner-up slot. Runs in a change of headgear here with blinkers used for the first time but although that was a better effort she did have an easy lead given too her and that scenario may not occur here.
Took a fair while to get off the mark but did so on her penultimate outing at Brighton over 7f with the first-time blinkers bringing about some improvement. Failed to follow-up that win last time out off the same mark and could well struggle again here in what looks a stronger contest.
Still yet to win a race but has been well supported on his last two starts and looked far better last time when only beaten by one who was slipping in the weights. Pushed back up 2lb for that run but based on his last run he should be able to take a hand here.
A record of 0/15 hardly inspires confidence although her effort at Salisbury when taking third wasn't that bad. That was over 1m2f and she probably needs stepping up in trip rather than dropping in distance and others are preferred here.
Forecasts
Lesanti (3/1), Peloton (10/3), Pinnata (4/1), Ashazuri (13/2), Lord Clenaghcastle (7/1), Sandy Shores (10/1), Crystal Secret (14/1), Moonstone Rock (20/1)
Not a race to get that excited about and very few look ahead of the handicapper or are progressive sorts. It should be run at a decent pace though with a few that like to go forward and that should play into the hands of LESANTI. He’s still to win a race but shaped well last time out and he can take advantage of his mark here. Pinnata is one of the pace setters but might get caught up in a pace battle with a few others like Sandy Shores that might hamper his chance. Ashazuri and Peloton are a couple of others that enter the mix in a race that really fails to stir the punting juices.
- Lesanti
- Pinnata
- Sandy Shores
