Unraced €22,000 yearling by Canford Cliffs out of Beautiful Hill (a 1m1f winner). Fifth living foal who is a half-sister to 7f to 1m2f winner Chapter and Verse and 7f to 1m winner Pyla.
Has raced 12 times during her career and went closest here over 1m in a Class 6 handicap last month (4½L runner up to Patching). Life looks tough on these terms back in a maiden.
Once raced Exceed And Excel filly who is a half-sister to no fewer than eight winners. Made a pleasing debut at Doncaster earlier this month (7f good to firm) when edged out by stablemate Lucky Lucrecia in a similar contest for maiden fillies. Likely to go very close tonight.
Made the frame in a couple of AW maidens during February (at up to 1m2f), but off the track until early July when seemingly not fully tuned up to strike at Chelmsford (1m). Should be sharper now with that run in the locker and interesting that she drops in trip switched to turf.
Beaten just over 1L when third to Golden State on debut at Redcar (7f good to firm) in late May, but disappointing when encountering softer conditions and a longer trip at Nottingham more latterly. Better expected back on a sounder surface.
Yet to race on turf, but has shown herself to be a moderate 7f handicapper on the AW. A major surprise if she's up to winning this contest with Varian, Haggas and Simcock trained fillies in the line up.
Forecasts
Pretty Passe (6/5), Uae Queen (2/1), Shankara (6/1), Ocean Temptress (12/1), Chalky (14/1), Zilza (25/1)
A fillies maiden which won't take a great deal of winning. PRETTY PASSE looks to have standout claims having shown her ability on debut when chasing home stablemate Lady Lucrecia over this trip at Doncaster earlier this month. Her connections have found her the ideal opportunity to get of the mark at the second attempt, with the added bonus being that it isn't too far to travel from her home base. Uae Queen and Shankara are most likely to fill the placings.
- Pretty Passe
- Uae Queen
- Shankara
