Did well to win three handicaps last year when with Gary Moss all over a mile with the last win coming off 87. Now with his new yard and making his seasonal debut for them he shaped well although he's never won off a mark as high as this and might just be found wanting here.
Kept busy this year and already having his eighth start here having taken three handicaps over a mile and 1m2f. Has shown his tactical versatility in all his three wins he still looks as though he has improvement in him but is up another 5lb here and will need a career best.
Built on an eye-catching debut when winning a Salisbury 7f soft ground maiden in September looking as though he was capable of a lot better. Took a big rise in grade after seven months off when tackling a Newbury Group 3 and failed to make an impression but should do much better at this more realistic level on his handicap debut.
Gelded since his three-year-old career (never ran at two) he showed progressive form to get off the mark on his handicap debut over a mile on the AW at Kempton Park. Given stiffer task off 6lb higher marks after that he appreciated the firm conditions when winning at Yarmouth showing more resolution that the favourite. Now off a career high mark of 83 he'll need to find more here to progress again and follow-up his last time out win.
Maiden winner on his second start over 7f last year making all with ease travelling well but wasn't see again as a juvenile. Hasn't been disgraced in his handicap starts so far and even though the handicapper is dropping him he still looks to have work to do off marks of 90+.
Forecasts
Make Time (11/10), Selection (3/1), Captain Courageous (5/1), Volatile (8/1), Ginger Jack (12/1)
Quite an interesting little race with just the five going to post and Selection will be the first port of call for many but he like Captain Courageous and Volatile has a fair bit to do off their marks. The same could be said of Ginger Jack and that leaves MAKE TIME as the main player here on his handicap debut and back at a far more realistic level than the Group 3 Greenham Stakes he ran in last time.
- Make Time
- Selection
- Captain Courageous
