Has won over hurdles, off since disappointing effort over fences in March and makes first Flat appearance here. Asking plenty on these terms.
Very smart novice hurdler in the season just passed, perhaps just shy of being top notch. Stable are going great guns and no surprise should she prove up to landing this on switch to the Flat.
Completely tailed off in pair of National Hunt bumpers either side of a break, latest being just 23 days ago, very hard to envisage prominent role now switching to the Flat.
Once-raced Galileo colt, well beat on debut over a mile at Leopardstown in October. With stable in red-hot form, is one to look out for on return to action over much longer trip.
Good run on debut to be second at Navan over 1m5f (good) last month, should progress from that run and trainer going great runs with 25% strike rate of late.
Galileo colt is nicely related to a number of winners and should be capable of decent shown on debut with tongue strap on. Yard in good recent form too.
Sinndar filly was narrowly denied a debut win at Limerick (1m3f, good to firm) late last month. Any progress would surely see her in the firing line again here.
Well beaten off on debut at Gowran Park over 1m4f a fortnight ago, was pretty easy to back in that contest and has to improve a decent chunk to get involved when it matters here.
Slightly disappointing on debut over 1m5f at Ballinrobe late last month when only third of seven. Represents powerful yard in a rich vein of form and could improve here.
Daughter of Sea The Stars wasn't able to deliver any kind of blow on debut over 1m2f at the Curragh 19 days ago and is best watched for now.
Forecasts
Alaykha (2/1), Airlie Beach (9/4), Erratic Path (4/1), Abyssinian (6/1), She's So Flawless (11/1), Renaissance Man (25/1), Kozy (33/1), Vale Of Light (33/1), The Irregular (66/1), White Linen (200/1)
AIRLIE BEACH enjoyed a more than decent novice hurdles campaign and looks to be both first pick from the Mullins duo and the most likely winner of this contest. With her peerless trainer knocking out winners at 33% recently, it won't be a surprise to see her oblige now. Alaykha made a pleasing start at Limerick last month and while her trainer is in much less inspiring form, she should play her part again. Erratic Path also ran well on debut and, along with newcomer Renaissance Man, completes the shortlist.
- Airlie Beach
- Alaykha
- Erratic Path
