Cheltenham Grand Annual winner in March, run well enough in two starts since though may have found stamina stretched last time over 2m4f here. Back down in trip should suit though is on tough handicap mark.
Formerly a very useful handicap chaser, ran best race for some time over 2m4f at Down Royal last time (beaten less than 1L in third). Has to prove that wasn't a false dawn but will hold strong claims if that is the case.
Decent hurdler, won a beginners chase at Fairyhouse in January (2m1f, soft) fell in Grade One novice at Punchestown when last out over fences. Run fair race over hurdles since and makes handicap chase debut now, worth market check.
Has won three times over fences and attained peak rating of 144, held in recent starts over jumps off this rating but comes here fresh from spin on the Flat and cannot be ruled out.
Broke duck over fences at Kilbeggan in April over 2m4f, went close again last month over 2m3f on yielding ground at Listowel. Has been bumped up in the weights again for that run but should figure at the business end.
Twice a winner over fences last autumn but has struggled off revised mark in two runs this time in, handicapper appears to have control of the argument for now.
Solid effort last time out behind Landofhopeandglory of 2m4f novice chase. Is 3lb wrong at the weights for this but capable of going well.
Improved to win on handicap chase bow over 2m at Wexford last month, keeping on well to get up close home. Not favoured by the terms this evening but isn't to be overlooked completely.
Forecasts
Rock The World (5/2), Ballyoisin (7/2), Mr Fiftyone (7/1), Lucky Pat (7/1), Devils Bride (8/1), Archive (10/1), Killiney Court (10/1), Go Forty Go (10/1)
A competitive looking contest, the bottom pair Go Forty Go and Archive are not getting any favours at these weights but are in good heart and any support would be worth paying attention to. At the other end, Grand Annual winner Rock The World should be suited going down in distance but must defy a career-high mark to score. Ballyoisin's tendency to fall is a worry so DEVILS BRIDE is the choice having showed a pleasing upturn in form at Down Royal last month. A decent performer at this sort of level, he can collect if repeating that previous run.
