Front-running sort who went close at Limerick in April over this sort of trip, flopped since at the Curragh though perhaps ground conditions were not in her favour. Too soon to write off and goes on the shortlist.
Didn't show a lot on debut at Roscommon last month, drops back significantly in distance for this mission but looks best watched for now.
Made debut over a mile on the AW at Dundalk in December 2015 and finished last, not seen again for 585 days and again failed to beat a rival home over a mile at Naas this month.
Well held over 1m3f at Roscommon last month on first start on the Flat, similar tale in sole UK bumper run. Hard to make a case for at this point.
Frustrating sort when trained by Jim Bolger, often hitting the frame but coming up just short. Attempted to make all in 1m Limerick handicap last month, eventually fading and beaten 3L.
Majestic Missile mare is making her racecourse bow at five, probably best watched unless there are vibes behind her in the market.
May have needed the run over 7f at Naas last month on first start of the year, was favourite there and has to be given another chance of getting off the mark in this company.
Little to take from pair of 1m maiden runs at Leopardstown so far, will have to step forward dramatically and likely going to be seen to best effect once gaining a handicap mark.
Finished a close second over a mile at Dundalk (AW) on debut in December and has been off since. Could be capable of having a say in this and must be noted in the betting.
There or thereabouts in quartet of maidens so far, latest over 1m2f (good) at Roscommon eight days ago. Drops in distance now and has first-time blinkers attached, should be in the mix.
Possibly best to forget recent spin at Roscommon over 1m2f, when never in any position to challenge. Has previously gone close over this trip and can go well again.
Well beaten in pair of 7f handicaps at Listowel and Dundalk (AW) this year, has got to improve to be involved at the business end here.
Forecasts
Artistic Melody (5/2), Birds Of Prey (3/1), Breeze (3/1), Aasheq (6/1), Sometimes A Fox (10/1), Desert Dancer (14/1), Intense Stylist (28/1), Clementina (50/1), Frozen Moon (66/1), Kelter's Dawn (100/1), An Fia Francesca (100/1), The Greedy Yank (100/1)
Birds Of Prey chased subsequent Derby winner Wings of Eagles home over C&D last August and should be fit after a recent reappearance run. He could prove up to this while Breeze has gone close over this trip already and will be suited having tackled 1m2f last time out. Aasheq and Artistic Melody have their merit but SOMETIMES A FOX get the nod. He was second over this trip at Dundalk on his sole start in December, making a decent challenge in the final three-furlongs, and can have a go at this on his reappearance.
- Sometimes A Fox
- Birds Of Prey
- Artistic Melody
