A winner on Tapeta and Polytrack earlier in the year, but also effective enough on turf. However, all four career successes have come over 6f, so there must be a question mark as to his ability over this trip and his recent form appears to support that theory.
Seems well suited to the Westwood and won a C&D seller in May 2016. However, he's better than that nowadays, and has been in the frame for many of his most recent starts including twice at this track of late, albeit comfortably held by Foxy Boy last month.
Plummeting in the handicap, but with good reason with a string of 'duck eggs' to his name. Not shown anything since winning a 6f Redcar apprentices handicap in October, and needs cut in any case to be seen to his best ability.
Twelve race maiden, but has run well at this track previously for Ann Duffield. Not achieved that much in three starts for this yard, and was taken out here earlier in the month when drawn wide, but could do better from this draw with the combination of a falling mark and first time cheek-pieces.
Eight race maiden, but with a string of consistent placed efforts to her name (largely on the AW). Seemingly unsuited by soft ground at Hamilton earlier this month.
Her strike rate isn't too encouraging (1 from 41) and she's been beaten in a couple of sellers of late, so it's difficult to see her involved from a wide draw.
Previous C&D winner who boasts some solid placed form at this track on his CV from around this time last year, including when a ½L runner up to Compton River in this race. Should go very close from a 5lb lower mark if able to lay up closer to the early pace than of late.
Won a division of this contest in 2015 from a 7lb higher mark, but that represents his sole career success in 31 starts. However, not beaten all that far when fifth of eleven to Jacob's Pillow over C&D latest, so not ruled out.
Stablemate of George Bailey who having not won a race since July 2015 sports a similar career profile. Not shown any signs of encouragement since a 66/1 runner up on the Tapeta at Newcastle in December.
Has little in the way of ability judged upon her four career starts to date. However, she is unexposed in handicap company at this basement level and she might have found soft ground far from ideal on her handicap debut at Hamilton recently.
12 race maiden who is most unlikely to make it 13th time lucky from a wide draw.
10 race maiden who was a runner up from this mark at Catterick in April (5f good to firm) for Mick Easterby. Not quite at the same level since but has a shout over a trip, and on ground that we know she handles well.
Eight race maiden who was placed in a selling handicap (third to Wee Jock) at Hamilton late last month. Needs to better that effort on different ground to be involved and that looks unlikely from this draw.

Roaring Rory (9/4), Sarabi (5/1), Maggi May (11/2), Be Bold (13/2), Spirit Of Zebedee (7/1), Mr Strutter (8/1), Harbour Lightning (9/1), Joysunny (10/1), George Bailey (10/1), Tinsill (14/1), Little Cupcake (20/1), Six Of The Best (25/1), La Haule Lady (33/1), Miss Pepper (33/1), Whispering Wolf (33/1)
A low grade handicap which features a number of moderate maidens, and in truth is probably only marginally stronger than a seller. Tinsill was runner up in this contest in 2016 and is attractively handicapped if able to lie up closer to the early pace, which has been his downfall in his most recent races. Joysunny has a decent draw and handles this combination of trip and ground very well as she's demonstrated at Catterick earlier in the year, but the percentage call has to be SARABI. She's up 2lb from her most recent narrow defeat over C&D, but there's every chance that she's simply a better horse than this level and she should again go very close from a good draw for Scott Dixon.
- Sarabi
- Joysunny
- Tinsill
