Horse A-Z
Unraced €25,000 juvenile by Arcano out of Wong Again. Third foal whose dam was of rather modest ability (6f AW placed), but also was a half-sister to a couple of 1m4f Group/European Listed winners.

Once raced Camacho colt who finished mid-division behind the useful Archie Watson trained Ghost Serge over 6f at Carlisle (good) last month. Needs to better that effort now dropped in trip but hails from a much respected stable.

Not far off justifying favouritism on debut at Redcar in April (5f, good to firm) when ¾L runner up to Inviolable Spirit, but unable to better that effort when only sixth of ten at Carlisle (5f, good to soft) recently. A return to a faster surface should suit.

Finished third to Villa Tora on debut at Hamilton in early June (5f good), but struggled when upped to 6f at Thirsk just ten days ago. Others look stronger.
£6,000 yearling by Sakhee's Secret out of Pink Supreme. Started at odds of 80/1 on debut at Yarmouth earlier this month (6f good to firm) and whilst finishing third of six to Hey Gaman was beaten by 15L.

15,000 gns yearling who is a half-sister to 5f juvenile winner Sleeper King. Easy to back on debut at Thirsk (6f) earlier this month and never really competitive in finishing sixth of eleven to Rockies Spirit (Medici Oro seventh). Drops in trip and better with time.

Beaten 4¼L on debut when fourth of eleven over C&D last week to the more experienced Wirral Girl. Should be capable of a stronger showing with greater luck in the run and therefore enters calculations high on the short list.

Forecasts

Tember (5/2), Ben My Chree (3/1), Cameo Star (9/2), Geesala Brave (7/1), Johni Boxit (8/1), Medici Oro (8/1), Ipcress File (14/1), Foxy Lady (16/1), Magic Ship (25/1)

Verdict

Division 1 of this Novice Auction Stakes can go the way of the once raced BEN MY CHREE. This filly posted a promising debut over C&D last week when fourth to the more experienced Wirral Girl. With better luck in the run from her low draw, she is fancied to be a shade more more street-wise and strike at the second attempt. The most likely danger comes from the David Barron trained Tember who should relish a return to a sounder surface.
  1. Ben My Chree
  2. Tember
  3. Geesala Brave
