Held over C&D in May on handicap debut in sixth of eight, beaten 2½L. Yet to encounter ground as fast as seems likely here, has to improve in all probability but does get useful 7lb claim taken off.

Ready winner of a 1m Limerick maiden on second start in April, off since and rates as an interesting handicap debutant now. Should improve again and have a say in the finale.

Easy winner of 7f Fairyhouse maiden ten days ago, putting race to bed in matter of strides. Yard are going through a good spell and very much one to consider for this handicap debut.

French import has shaped well in all three Irish starts without getting off the mark, Fine effort over 7f (good to yielding) here early this month, looks likely to meet faster ground than has been the case previously.

Best effort (from four) this season came on reappearance over this trip on good to firm ground at Cork in May. Should get similar conditions now and should bounce back after below par effort over 7f here last time out.

Made light of opening handicap mark to score decisively over 1m at Leopardstown last month. Goes up 9lb for a 4L win there but could well have more to come and is high on the shortlist for this.

Limerick maiden winner in October over 6½f, hasn't shown a lot in three handicaps this season, latterly dropping to sprints, but should be more at home back over a mile now. Would need to improve to land the spoils.

Forecasts

Groundfrost (3/1), New Terms (4/1), Honor Oak (4/1), Jet Streaming (4/1), Bumbasina (8/1), Surrounding (9/1), Stormy Belle (14/1)

Verdict

A trappy contest but it might just pay to keep things simple and side with the improving JET STREAMING, who landed a Leopardstown contest over this trip with any amount in hand on handicap debut last time out. She's been bumped up 9lb for that win but has the scope to remain on the upgrade and defy it. Handicap debutant Surrounding is interesting having won a Limerick maiden last time out and is to be noted in the market while Honor Oak and Groundfrost are others worthy of some consideration.
  1. Jet Streaming
  2. Surrounding
  3. Honor Oak
