Fair sort who wasn't stopping when scoring for the second time over minimum trip at Carlisle recently. Step up to 6f may suit and has a solid chance despite the steadier of top weight.
Recent wins at both Wetherby and Thirsk came when there was some juice in the ground so the anticipated quicker surface has to be a slight question mark. Nonetheless, is in great heart and should go well in his hattrick bid.
Held every chance at Haydock recently, racing prominently but unable to qucken near finish on nursery debut. Not ruled out of winning this but more is needed this time.
Has progressed from race to race and got his head in front at Ripon last time, scoring in pleasing fashion. Appears fairly handicapped for nursery bow and should be very much in the thick of the action.
Taken off his feet on quickish ground at Haydock last time so the anticipated underfoot conditions may once again prove far from ideal. Needs to find more, but has shown some ability and can find a race in due course.
First-time blinkers are applied having failed to really shine in his three starts so far, althogh probably didn't stay the 7f at Newmarket three weeks ago. May improve for the headgear and a glance at the betting market should reveal just how much is expected.
Filly who shows early pace but hasn't really been seeing her races out thus far. The hood is applied in a bid to settle her down a touch but, despite getting weight all round, she is hard to fancy in this company.
Forecasts
Jedi Master (7/2), Jim Rockford (7/2), Mr Wagyu (4/1), John Kirkup (9/2), The Right Choice (6/1), Contribute (7/1), Angel Force (18/1)
Not the easiest of finales, but MR WAGYU is selected to follow up on his pleasing effort when scoring at Ripon last time out. John Kirkup may give the selection most to do despite having to concede 13lb. His two wins at Carlisle showed he has the right attitude. Jim Rockford is not ruled out although he will need to find more than at Haydock recently, while Jedi Master has ability and might get in the mix, especially if there is a drop of rain to take the sting out of the ground.
- Mr Wagyu
- John Kirkup
- Jedi Master
